Eh...I'm gonna hold out hopefully for another collection. Something's up. They basically ignore his entire WCW run which was great up until 1998. See, that attitude is going to keep us from getting a second collection. The E will decide on Collection 2 based on sales of Collection 1. If you want one, you're going to have to get the other. That's precisely why I got the Starrcade and SNME collections, not because I wanted second volumes, but because I wanted full anthologies in the future, maybe even possibly give a Best of slot that would have gone to a Volume 2 to say, Clash. Regardless, I'm saving my pennies for this. I am a big fan of Savage's work and cannot wait for this. I actually have seen very little of his early work and almost none of his WCW work since I was in and out at bad times. So a lot of this is going to be new and whatever isn't is stuff I love like it's my own child.

Well, McMahon does hate him, after all. I would rather have no documentary if it means a burial one of Randy, but I would really like a balanced documentary of his career with commentary from superstars and the man himself. I was about to say the same thing. No doc>one talking crap about him

For the people that think there's not enough WCW on there, you have to remember, he really didn't have that many good matches there. You can only put so many Flair/Savage matches and outside of that, he had some real borefests with Piper, Hogan and Nash. The only one I'd make an argument for is the Las Vegas Death Match with DDP at Havoc '97.
I give the match selection two thumbs up.

I like the match selection but just wish they would put savage/warrior vs nasty boys from summerslam spectacular 92 and savage/warrior vs money inc from snme. As far WCW matches go, they could've put savage vs arn anderson from wcw saturday night january 96.

I think the match selection for this set is great. And I don't mind the lack of WCW matches at all, if anything they could've taken one off and put in another one of his (much superior) WWF matches.
I was never a fan of his WCW work, aside from the feud with DDP.

I can't believe after all the bullexcretory matter bitching over how they would NEVER make one, they make one and you won't buy it. Never happy. Never. a) I never complained about there not being a Savage DVD. b) I hate double dipping on stuff. I have a lot of this on tape in great condition and I haven't watched that stuff in years, so why am I going to spend $30 on this? It's the same with the Starrcade DVD. I watched it on 24/7 the month before it came out. Why am I going to spend $30 to watch it again? It's not like me refusing to buy it will bring sales down. It's going to do well regardless. Just my two cents. Not everyone has to get every single WWE DVD that comes out. It's very rare that I buy wrestling DVDs and I've gotten SNME and the Summerslam Anthology (which comes out next month), Volume 1.

Fair point, no one has to get every single DVD, nor can everyone afford to.
HOWEVER...
Given how much people have been begging for a Savage DVD for someone to say "Eh, don't like the matches, I'll wait for another volume." does seem a bit taking it for granted. It may be a while before we get to Savage 2, given we still don't have a release for Jericho, Steamboat, DiBiase or a decent Andre release.
As for double dipping, I don't mind. Dusty's music was edited out for the WM Anthology and Jesse's commentary was edited out for the Dusty DVD, so maybe with the Savage release, we'll get the Mixed Tag match as broadcast.
