Yeah, I hate it when WWE acts like any title you win for THEM is bigger than any title you could win anywhere else...even if it is occasionally true. They really think that? Then why in Rick's video package did they present his first title win over Flair his greatest achievement?

Am I the only one who thinks it will be JERRY LAWLER facing Jericho at WrestleMania? Come on, the King has been dropping references like crazy of late (including during Raw last night) about how he's never had a match at Mania and would love to have one. He can still cut AMAZING promos. You could still have Mickey Rourke at ringside for the match, with the other legends sitting front row. Picture it, Jericho has a bloody Lawler on the ground while he mocks Mickey to get into the ring for the save. This could work!

I think the King will confront Jericho on an upcoming Raw. Man was Steamboats promo amazing, this legends thing is pure gold, Flair, Piper and now Steamboat have all had AMAZINg promo's. And Steamboat is easily one of my top 10 fav wrestlers ever, very worthy to go into the Hall

I really wish they would have had Steamboat come out to this theme.

I'm glad that the legends they're bringing out are cutting good promos. It actually helps the story along. And if it's not Austin v.s. Jericho at Wrestlemania, we riot.
Well, maybe not riot, but we'll be rather put out.

The promos between Jericho and a legend are great and I'd hope they'd be able to do something better than Lawler-Jericho at WM25.

All the Legends are cutting awesome promos. The Jericho vs. Legend promos have consistently been the best of the night every week. This can't lead up to a no-name fighting Jericho. Either Rourke or Austin/Hogan is the only blow-off and Austin makes more sense because the Legends like Austin, but most of them wouldn't really want Hogan to stand up for them anyway. He is their age with the same health issues. Austin at least seems vigorous and is in better shape.

I really wish they would have had Steamboat come out to this theme. Yea I was hoping for that too, but the royalties or the fact that WWE likes to push their own themes now may have stopped it (its an Alan Parsons tune called "Sirius"). I remember marking out during an NBA game because that was the Bulls' entrance theme during the Jordan days as well. Nonetheless, Steamboat is my favorite of all time. His feud w/ Savage leading up to the WM3 match was the feud that made me love wrestling (I was 9) and I can watch his matches to this day and see something new and still get into them even if I can narrate them hold by hold at this point. Loved seeing him on Raw and the bit with Jericho was awesome.

Austin is one bad bump away from being in very bad shape so I'm not sure he is in better shape than Hulk, but yes he is definitely more current.

As the resident Ricky Steamboat supermark, except for the last part where he got beat down, last night was the best thing thats happened on tv in a long time....who better than the guy Chris Jericho said was his inspiration to become a wrestler to tell him he is a hypocrite. It was absolutly amazing and I was hoping beyond hope Ricky would judo chop him right in the throat when he hit him.
But anywho, it is so overdue that a guy that many say is the greatest wrestler to ever step into a ring(see: Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Steve Austin, Harley Race) to get into the hall of fame. The thing about Steamboat is that he was so good at making the other guy look good, but at the same time he made himself look good. It didnt matter who he was wrestling, you knew the match was going to be believable and you were going to be into it. There really arent guys like him left in the business anymore and its a shame.

I think the Austin stuff came about due to the fact he was on the poster in ring gear despite 99% of his Attitude era stuff had him in the jacket. Austin is known for not wanting to do something if he's not 100% fit and able its why he hasn't wrestled since 2003. He doesnt need one more match like the dozens of legends because he's content Rock/Austin at Mania 19 was the last match of his career.

I'll be honest and was hoping Steamboat would be the one to step up and knock Jerichco on his butt and then challenge him for WM 25 but I'm not sure what kind of shape is in as far as giving one more match

Then why in Rick's video package did they present his first title win over Flair his greatest achievement? I think that its Steamboat that feels that way. I remember an interview of his years ago (before he worked for WWE) where he said that winning the IC title was his greatest career moment because of the stage, hype, atmosphere, etc.
