Ever wondered why Nova would often replace the part where Simon Dean would be in any of this board's covos? That's why.

You'll find Nova to be a smidge more exciting than Simon Dean.
Just a smidge.
Unless you've alread seen Nova in action.

For some weird reason I think Simon looks a lot buffer as Simon then Hollywood Nova. Maybe because he's covered up more or something

Maybe it was because of the pseudo-Macho Man beard he was wearing.

I think it would be cool if they listed Simon Dean and Nova as different people on the Smackdown roster. And they used him as two different wrestlers.

(no jokes from the peanut gallery) Is Hollywood Nova Simon Dean? Or is that a different dude? I can't blame you for asking this. WWE never clarified it, and not everyone who watches WWE watched ECW. Plus WWE.com still has the Simon Dean profile up (as opposed to the mere minutes it took to change Chavo to Kerwin).

Like I posted in the JBL/ bWo thread, Nova had me rolling during Meanie's match when he went to the apron and did Hogan's "YOU!!!!!" gesture, only to get knocked off. Priceless!

Am I the only one who thought Simon Dean was funny? Don't get me wrong, I like Nova too. I just think Mike Bucci is funny in general, no matter what character he's playing. I used to laugh when Simon would dump protein shakes over the audience members' heads.

Simon Dean was occasionally funny in the beginning, but it got old really fast. And whe it got old, it became excruciating.

I didn't mind the Simon Dean character, but the real problem lies within the fact that the character wouldn't last too long before coming stale. Cutting promos by making lame fat jokes is only a little bit funny at first - imagine it being done over the span of a year, six months even.
