But alot of the time crowds chant it during a good technical match, that goes over their head. As they just want tables and chairs. You mean like ECW fans?

I like the boring chant when it's done during the diva search or HHH promo. But alot of the time crowds chant it during a good technical match, that goes over their head. As they just want tables and chairs. Agreed, and agreed. The best ever use of a 'boring' chant ever was Brock vs. Goldberg.

Don't worry. People who did'nt watch ECW can say what they like about it. It makes them feel knowledgeable.

When Psichosis starts slowing the match down, the whole place boos. You base this on one match? You didnt see the Jericho/Storm match on the same card people went crazy for? Maybe people got onto Psychosis because at the beginning he was damned sloppy..nothing to do with "technical" or "hardcore." Fact remains ECW is the only american audience Ive seen appreciate technical wrestling. (And lucha and hardcore, as long as the effort is solid and entertaining.)

I'm sorry, but ECW, while it had some great technical matches, was most known for, and made most of it's money, from promoting extreme hardcore wrestling. And it certainly was not the first American promotion to feature great technical wrestling.

The fans could enjoy a nice technical bout even though that's not what ECW was centered on.

Did I say that it was the first to do anything?I said it was the first I..underline the "I"... had seen to have the audience appreciate a great technical match. I never said it wasnt known for hardcore over anything else. Where did I say otherwise? You call be ignorant for statements I didnt even make. I said that ECW was the first american audience I had seen to appreciate technical matches. Thats a true statement. Time after time I have watched ECW fans give standing "O"'s for technical wrestling. I was arguing against the statement that ECW fans chanted "boring" at those matches. Next time you call me ignorant make sure Its based on sometyhing I actually said.

Didn't Paul London get a "boring" chant a few weeks ago on SmackDown!? Why does this keep happening? Why are cruiserweights still not over? Is it management or these dumb fans or both? And what the hell happened to Fifi?

Did you not watch guys like Benoit and Malenko in WCW or Hart, Perfect, Michaels, and Angle in WWF/E? If not, I shall eat my words, but I'm pretty sure American audiences have enjoyed these peoples matches plenty. But we're getting off topic here. As for strangest things to get over...hell, even despite his excellent ring skills, I'm still kind of surprised Michaels has been able to stay over as a face for so long as the "heartbreak kid".

Goldust. And I'm not just talking about the man who wore a shiny yellow body suit, face paint, cross-dressed, wore face paint, and came of fagish. Nope I'm talking about the version of Goldust that had T-T-T-T-T-T-T-OREST syndrome. I'm fairly sure Vince and Co. were trying to kill Goldust off with that angle before they fired him, but somehow I remember it made him even MORE over than he was before.
As for ECW (and the sudden re-surge of ECW fans) all that I'm going to say is if SOOO many people were ECW fans. Why didn't they watch the program when it originally aired on TNN back in the day? If I remember right 90% of the wrestling fans out there didn't give a shit about ECW back in the day. Now, all of a sudden, the WWE runs an ECW reunion show and EVERYONE turns into an ECW Mark. Sheep.

And what the hell happened to Fifi? Give it time. Paul London needs to put together a crew of some sort to feud with the Mexicools (goddamn, I wish they would've chosen a different name)

I watched all of those..and as much as the I enjoyed it those audiences were more concerned with DX telling people to suck it or the NWO doing their thing. The technical contests would get a nice reaction while the storylines were the reason people watched and what most of that audience reacted to. In ECW I saw the matches, outside of storylines or outside concerns..get more of a positive reaction then I have seen anywhere else. Remember that I am only claiming what I have seen. Are there other audiences that appreciate it as much or even more? Im sure...but I was speaking of what I have seen myself and thought I made that clear.
