I'm hoping my satelitte doesn't do the normal funky stuff it does for sports. I can't pick up the 'Canes games usually (despite only living an hour away) because sometimes the satelitte is getting an Atlanta feed and it doesn't give me the right broadcast on FSN.
Same thing happens during the Braves games for baseball. It will black out the Braves games on FSN because it's getting an Atlanta feed on that channel therefore thinks I have the local GA channels for the Braves. I don't though.
At least I'm sure Green Ranger will record the games.

Oh ESPN you know nothing. I saw an article by Scott Burnside on ESPN who is a notorious Devils hater and his playoff preview had the Canes in 6 (fair in and of its self) but his key matchup was Eric Staal against... BOBBY HOLIK. If Sutter matches Holik with Staal than Lou should come down tap Sutter on the shoulder and fire him right there. EA simulates and has the Bruins winning the Cup for those who care. Here's a pic of what the ceremony would look like. Bettman with a growth spurt before handing the cup to Chara. That's terrible "modeling" work. Maybe they don't have the rights for Bettman's image? Weird. For some reason I keep getting this nagging feeling that there's going to be a big upset Cup win this year. It just kind of feels that way...hmmm. I'm not saying it'll be the Habs (but I'd like it) but I get the feeling there's going to be a huge upset in the finals. Cherry predicts a Boston/Sharks Final.

The more I think about it, I really think the rangers could make some noise in the playoffs. IMO, the Bruins and Capitals aren't the most dominant top two seeds in recent memory. If the rangers get past washington, they would most likely play boston who they played well agianst last time, and it seems as if Avery has gotten in Thomas' head. (Sound familiar Devil's fans?) So it might not be probable, but I don't think it is out of the question, especially with Tortorella, that the Rangers could make the conference finals.

I think Avery is going to be one big pain in the ass during the playoffs. It'd be interesting to see how Boston approaches him.

I can't say for sure that Avery is in Thomas' head. If he is, he's doing a piss-poor job, because here are Thomas' stats against Avery's teams in 2008-2009: Nov. 1 (vs. DAL) 35 saves on 36 shots in a 5-1 win April 4 (vs. NYR) 25 saves on 25 shots in a 1-0 win And since giving Thomas that tap on the back of the head, Thomas has gone 2-0.

Eh, my thing about that series is that the Caps could really play well against the Ranger's system. Their offense is just that explosive, and the Rangers' just...isn't. The Rangers have a good defensive system, but I just don't see it as good enough to stop the Caps' attack, and they don't counterpunch enough to make up ground should the Caps' attack indeed be that effective. That said, it could potentially come down to goaltending in that series, in which case Theodore would have to wake the hell up, beacuse Lundqvist may not be spectacular, but he can sure as hell be solid in a series, and Theodore is capable of being pure crap at any given time. If it comes to goaltending, the Rangers have a chance, since that's their biggest area of advantage.

I'm glad the blues finally made it back into the playoffs. They may be lucky to get pass the first round but GO BLUES!

Not expecting many surprises first round.
Canucks in 6. Maybe a bad match-up for the Canucks, they have seemed to have trouble with the Blues the last couple seasons, even when the Blues were in the Wests' basement.
The rest pretty simple.
Sharks in 5. Wings in 4. Hawks in 6.
Bruins in 6 Caps in 5 Canes in 7 Flyers in 7.

www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=418316Kevin Smith reprises his celeb playoff blog blogging for the Devils. Tells us how he still has a space in his heart for the Whale... I wonder if how many if any Whaler fans are Canes fans?

Having Theodore in nets is a really stressful thing. It's like having Price. You wonder who will show up each game. The great version or the horrible one. I don't think the Caps will go far with Theo.
What could save them is Ovechkin.
I can't wait till tomorrow night!!!!
