I know Tim isn't the fighter he was to be but, get beat up a a "fake" wrestler has got to hurt the ego. It happened to Couture and Herring. Honestly when submissions and grappling on the ground isn't involved. MMA fighters are nothing.

I can't use Google to backtrack and find an original source. As much as I would love for this to be true, it sounds like a ruse to me.

I'd give my left arm for this to be true. I would probably never stop laughing whenever somebody brings up Tim Sylvia.

Yeah this is BS, and I seriously doubt that anyone in the WWE save for guys like Koslov, Benjamin, Hass, and the few others who have legit backgrounds would last more then a few seconds in an MMA ring. I don't know why anyone would get excited about a bar fight anyway, no matter what happens everyone walks away looking stupid.

Might not be scared, but would be foolish to do so with some guys. No ref, no rules? My money is on someone like Finlay or Regal who could stretch the crap out of someone. That has zilch to do with what I said. I think there are definitely some guys in wrestling that would beat the everloving piss out of most or all mma guys, but as I said, I doubt any of them are going to be scared to say something to anyone-wrestler, construction worker, hired assassin, or whatever. Besides, it's not like anyone is going to know in advance that someone like Regal or Finlay, for example, are legit tough guys. Unless they follow wrestling religiously and are secretly smarks, those guys are just random guys to them. If they're not cautious about braggin/mouthing off, then they believe their own hype, and are such marks for themselves, they deserve to have their ass whipped. Which may not apply to a lot of pro MMA fighters....but you know, it does apply to a LOT of the wanna be MMA clowns in my area. They train in what they call a "dojo"...but is nothing more than a renovated garage where these rednecks just go and pound the piss out of each other. There is no skill to what THESE clowns do....they're NOT UFC or PRIDE caliber fighters....yet they think that because they made some other loser with a gigantic beer gut tap out, they're the next Tito Ortiz. They walk around being super aggressive and act like cocks of the walk....and they're NOBODY. Never had a legit fight, but have a nice T-shirt with their "dojo" 's name on it....and a window cling for their pick up truck. Now, I don't want this to come off as me being hateful towards MMM/UFC...I do believe that the professionals, like St. Pierre, Fedor, Arlovsky, ect. are genuinely talented fighters, and I think they train harder than many of the NBA/NFL/MLB athletes, but don't get half the respect. But these wanna-bes in my town....they're but a step above the basement Tyler Durden style "fight club".

If this gets confirmed to be true, Kane may very well be my new favorite wrestler. I typically dislike most MMA fighters because quite frankly, they all come off as being very arrogant and full of themselves.

Even if it isn't true, it won't stop me from bringing it up and turning it into a local Urban Legend.
"Remember that Tim Sylvia? Yeah, the guy Fedor crushed in less than 30 seconds, got beat down by Kane in a Detroit bar. I read it online, man. Ragged on him about being "fake" and got a broken nose for it. Awesome, I know."

Wow... I didn't know so many of you go out drinking with Haku and know him personally to step up for him.
I personally have been around pro fighters, being I used to train with Lightweight legend Yves Edwards here in Houston... and he is a great guy, and his wife is super sweet and makes a mean oriental casserole.
Ricco Rodriguez used to come in and train and was a super cool, humble guy. He does come off on TV as a prick tho... IT SELLS the fight, same with Sam Hogar. So unless you know a PRO fighter personally who acts self absorbed and goes around picking fights... you should really stop believing everything you see on TV and making broad judgements about a group of athletes. It's the wannabes who buy those affliction shirts who act like tools.

The entire WWE crew was in Texas when this supposedly happened, so I don't think this is true.

I dont think its true either, but I so want it to be true.
I hate to say this to some MMA guys, but you need to be careful with who you try to rag on because some of the nicest people I know have been known to kick the ever loving crap out of a bully if they are pushed.

Walk around with your little hoodie all you want....but your physical condition (IE, groaning with effort to get your fat ass out of your pick up truck) tells me just how seriously you take your "training". Anyway, like I said, not bashing the pros like Silva, St. Pierre, ect, who train like it's their lifeblood.

Fake news story so we don't need to continue discussing it.
