I really dont understand what the thinking was with him losing twice within 3 weeks after he'd marched (clean, I might add) through everyone until this point. Kinda seems random. Reminds me of how they did away with Mordecai. He tore through a bunch of low/midcarders, and then Rey beats him on TV and he's released like a week later. ....boy, I hope this means the end of Koslov.

I can't take Kozlov seriously. Given that the announcers try to hide his days of smiling when he loved 'Double Double E', was originally hyped with no music (Which made him lack something coming down to the ring, IMO), and when he finally gets music, someone points out the first line sounds like "YAH, PRINGLES CHIP IN BOWL!", how can I?

I think the undefeated storyline has been overdone.; I can count so many wrestlers who had that gimmick.

I think the undefeated storyline has been overdone.; I can count so many wrestlers who had that gimmick. Even The Miz had one back in '06. As for Kozlov, I reckon he will no longer be in the main event scene after WM, but he'll hang around the midcard and get the odd title match, a little like Khali I guess. But without the face turn and Kiss Cam business hopefully.

They need to give Kozlov a run with the US title to see if he can handle a world title reign I feel he can bring life to that title espeically if he were to rename it The Russian Title that would shoot him right back up to a good status

I think the telling sign is that his streak was ending without any real fanfare. With Umaga it was a big thing which lead to a huge streak v title match with John Cena. With Koslov is was like an afterthought that Michael Cole barely remembered to mention.
And remember the rule of wrestling, if you are undefeated, your opponent will throw everything at you to no avail but once you are actually beaten it'll only take one finisher to keep you down.

I don't really care too much about him one way or the other. Never got the vibe that he could decimate someone like an Umaga or in previous years, Lesnar.

Things could happen, but I do kinda get the feeling that he might start to fade away, yeah.

Seriously, guys? I'd expect someone to see through Kozlov's losses by now. Okay, here's how it works:
He beat Undertaker, then lost clean to HBK, therefore HBK had the advantage going into Mania. Having him lose to Undertaker shows that there is no longer an advantage to HBK. It's more about the HBK/Taker match than Kozlov, and always was. All they're trying to do is book this as an even match.

I dont think the guy has enough charisma to get his gimmick over at all.
Umanga is badass.

He needs to come back repackaged as a Finnish environmentalist! or a time-traveling shoe salesman

They're building Michaels and Taker for Wrestlemania. They are more important right now then Kozlov. Kozlov though is still in a good position on the card.
What they could do is next week on Smackdown, they could have Kozlov not wrestle, and have him do a vingette talking about his recent losses, and how he now must train harder to fight off and beat stronger challenges.

I hope this version of Kozlov is done. I just get behind this version of being a enjoyable heel. Maybe take off for a while, then have him come back under a different or a improved version of this gimmick.

Not the first big lug who gets pushed to the moon, stinks up the house and then fall rapidly down the card. Sadly, probably not the last either. First Khali, now this guy. Doesn't anyone in the office watch any tapes?

Or maybe starting tonight he can dress up as a bear (complete with black Commie ushanka) and assault Ric Flair before he can accept Jericho's challenge.

On a sidenote, Koslov seems be having some sort of background feud with The Great Khali lately. Koslov singlehandily threw Khali out of the Rumble, and Khali retalitated by throwing out Koslov in the MITB Battle Royal on ECW. I know there would be shouts of pure terror from people on the board, but I wouldn't be surprised if they had a match between Khali and Koslov (if anything, to attract the Indian audience that adores Khali to watch Wrestlemania). Second Sidenote: I was so disappointed that the WWE did all this work to build up how tough Koslov "near-metal like" head is and then he eats one Sweet Chin Music and that's it (I mean, at least Taker's offense is built towards the Tombstone. The SCM came after minutes of Michaels being manhandled. Why go through the work to show off Koslov's toughness...if in the end he doesn't look tough?). If you want a monster...let him look somewhat monsterous. Same thing confused me when it only took one Pedigree to beat Umaga. There was an old Wrestlemania card prediction thread here several months back, and I suggested a Khali/Kozlov match. There would be a spot where Khali would hit Kozlov with the Brain Chop, but Kozlov would no-sell because his head is so hard. Then Kozlov would hit the battering ram on Khali, but Khali would no-sell that.Otherwise, the match would be terrible, but at least you'd get a neat little Wrestlemania moment out of it.
