Because Cena isn't funny anymore and neither is SNL? Well, my sides are hurting from laughter tonight.

Are people seriously trying to turn this into another "Cena sucks and should turn heel." thread?

Are people seriously trying to turn this into another "Cena sucks and should turn heel." thread? Well yeah cause it's one of those overused fads that are actually not very funny.

My favorite part is Tracy being obviously drug across the floor to indicate that he's executing a flying kick. Glad they didn't pull him across obviously on a cart, like most people would have.
And again, I am going to need that GIF of him punching Cena after Cena greets him.

I heard Cena didn't get much of a reaction. Not good when he's trying to sell a movie and Mania.

Will this lead to Cena possibly hosting!? I think he'd do a pretty good job to be honest

I heard Cena didn't get much of a reaction. Not good when he's trying to sell a movie and Mania. Im gfonna go out on a limb and say that the SNL audience probably doesn't know who John Cena is. Couple that with him just showing up randomly on a taped bit, very easy to see why there was no reaction. Also, I don't think WWE is mbanking Mania or 12 rounds making money on a 4 second cameo.

Yeah, give Cena a break...it's not like it's the days of the nWo and Austin 3:16 when it seemed as if everyone was watching wrestling. If a random SNL guy that I'd never heard of showed up on RAW tomorrow, I probably wouldn't mark the F out or anything either. As it was, it was a fun little bit part for Cena (which he played well) and a nice treat for the wrestling fans who did happen to watch the show.
As for the Rock...I'm sorry...the Dwayne's appearance last week, the only sketch I saw was "The Rock Obama" sketch and I thought it was a flop. Maybe my expectations were too high, but that SHOULD HAVE BEEN brilliant...and it just came off as just blah. I'm sure it was partly the writers fault...but I've thought Johnson and Obama sounded similar for years...and somehow...in this sketch, something that should've been so natural for Johnson...well, for me anyway, it ended up failing miserably.
I can't speak to the rest of the show...as I didn't see it.

That was actually kind of funny. I have to ask though: why is everyone making such a big deal out of the "non-reaction" he got? It was a walk-on role.
