How long did you wait to pop the question? Was it love at first sight? Did it take quite a while? How did you do it? Being recently engaged myself, I'm curious as to how others went about it.

Dated for seven years, took a couple of months to decide, took a year to plan, celebrating our first year at the end of the month.

We were together for a year, and then I popped the question. She cried and said yes. Planning on getting married late 2010, early 2011. I wanted a winter wedding and she obligied. Probably the only input I will get to have.

Knew each other for about 18 months, dated for 6 and been engaged since. Would have been married about 18 months ago but for my body falling to bits.

We sort of danced around each other for a couple of months before dating, dated for8 months, engaged for another 8 months, and will celebrate 12 years of marriage this month.

Engaged a little more than a year after we started dating. (She wanted to be engaged sooner, but I was saving for a ring and didn't want to rush things.) Wedding was about 10 months after that. We'll be married five years in November.

I didn't do anything too fantastic when I proposed. Dinner and a hotel suite. I know my girl really loves me b/c even though it was our special day she had no qualms about me watching AWA classic on espn.

Been married for about 8 years now. Now how supportive has your significant other been with you being a wrestling fan? This question is for all the crappers here. My wife puts up with it for the most part. We just went to Wrestlemania and she had a great time as well.

A huge Cena fan, she really gets into the whole show and it is so f***ing cute.

Three years...although she popped the question to me.
I did do the "on one knee" thing to give her the ring and ask her to marry me.

I'm not engaged, likely won't be for quite awhile if I have my way, but I do know my parents started dating when they were 18 and 16, and didn't get married for about 14 years or so.
To be fair, when they initially started dating they weren't 100% serious, but they were definitely a legit item during college (they went to the same university); in fact, most of their friends were convinced they'd be hitched as soon as my mother (she's the younger one) graduated.
Not to be; they held off all the way until my mom was almost 30. I'm grateful, since otherwise I wouldn't be here.
I'm definitely more of their mindset (though I'm 24, so I wouldn't wait 14 years at this stage in my life), though; I'd just be very uncomfortable taking the plunge quickly. It can certainly work for some people, but I'd be too concerned about how people can change with time, and I'd have to be prepared for it.

We were friends for about a year and a half, dated for 6 months before I proposed.
We then went 2 years of engagement while I finished college, then we planned the wedding.
We'll be married 7 years next month.

Been with my wife for around 3 years, baby after 1, engaged around six months after the little fella born, got married about 8 months after I popped the question.
She also likes the wrestling, bought me tickets for Raw and Smackdown in Manchester for my birthday which was cool.

Well, she likes wrestling to some extent, I DID meet her here and she does have more wrestling DVDs than me (that's not difficult) - met on here but only chatted semi-friendly for a year, then were together mainly long-distance 5 months before I popped the question, and then got married this February.
