Bad draw for Gunther, as I REALLY wanted to vote for him in at least the first round. I'm a huge Tobe Hooper mark (with the exception of Poltergeist - find it overrated), and The Funhouse is great trashy fun from start to finish.
But Audition is literally one of the ten best horror films of all time, so I gotta go with Asami, as masterfully played by Eihi Shiina.

The Funhouse character has my vote. Asami is beyond the horror genre and into something far more disturbing.

It's 7-2 Asami so far. I'm gonna let this one run until tommorow night. Anyone that has seen Funhouse please tell me more about it, and if you can fine pictures of Gunther feel free to post them to let more people know what he looks like.

As much as the chick from Audition disturbs me (and since this is a horror tourney, that's a good thing), I'm voting for Gunthar. Gunthar is the slow-witted son of a carny, and occasionally mans the rides at the travelling carnival his father works in. He does this wearing the general garb and a mask of the Frankenstein monster. But when he becomes enraged, he murders the carnival's fortune teller and reveals that he's something far different from just a dimwit...he's a deformed, animalistic monster of a man, who looks like this (click the link): www.latexmaskcentral.com/images/johncaplinfunhousemonster.jpg(This is just a latex mask...the actual makeup effects in the film are far more disturbing looking).

So he hates his own family?

So he hates his own family? No. The fortune teller is not related to him (in fact, he paid her for...sexual services. When he...finished before the race started, she refused to give him his money back, and mocked him. He killed her because of that). Some teens decided it would be fun to spend the night in the funhouse, and as a result, secretly bore witness to the events between the deformed man-creature and the fortune teller. And when those teens were discovered, Gunther and his father decided they had to be dealt with. *makes cutting motion with finger across neck*

Why don't we just use Youtube videos when a picture isn't avaiable? I rember that beingmentioned when the tournament was first started.

Gunther, because I've never seen Audition (I'm waiting for the J-horror fans to gasp in horror).

No sir it didn't die. Just been busy. I'll get a new match up in a minute. Asami wins 7-4.
Also, thanks Talking Head for reminding me about the trailers.

My vote:Rhoda and i'll tell you why. Just thinking about movies like Seed with a psychotic child gives me chills cause it's sure as hell very capable of happening in real life. The other?Nothing more then a run of the mill creature. Seeing creepy child killers that could happen in real life makes me not want to walk in the dark. Seed especially since in the original version she gets away with it.(The censors made them change the end for the movie)

I'm gonna have to vote Rhoda as well. Never been a big fan of the Leprechaun flicks - the first one is alright, but the rest venture into negative star territory.
