I've finally published my review of Legends of Wrestlemania. I won't put a link here because it's in French and most of you must already have an opinion on the game. But I wanted to show you the screenshots that I took because I think they're pretty cool : www.jv247.com/games/843-IMAGES-WWE-Legends-of-Wrestlemania.html (the screenshots that I took start on page 2). Here is one of them : I've also recorded video but they won't be online until tomorrow at the earliest. So, what do you guys think ?

Irish whip your opponent into the stairs during a hell in the cell match. It's funny because when someone falls into the tacks, they stick on his back.

Just rented the game, played and beat it. I literally couldn't put it down. It's the most fun I've had with a wrestling game since Here Comes the Pain. And nostalgia had a bit to do with that, but it's probably the only wrestling game in recent history where I never once went to the create-a-wrestler feature. Normally I do that before I even find out how the game plays. Ah well, I didn't need to anyway since I imported everyone from SvR09, including my C-A-Ws "Superstar" Wes Carr and "The Professional" Isaac Johnson.
Anyway, this is the ONLY game I have ever played that totally gets the Royal Rumble right. I love the corner eliminations, the animations for people hanging on and staying in, and the mechanics of the entire match. It's brilliant. I even love that they cut to the entrance way each time a new opponent is coming out, instead of just letting them sneak up in the background to little fanfare, although with all the other camera cutaways in the match (main eventers getting eliminated, two guys teaming up to try and get someone out, the dangling-on-the-ropes elimination minigame) it can get a little frustrating. But I did so many Royal Rumble variations. Legends versus Current guys (Andre won); a greatest Intercontinental champions Rumble (Santino won); the best world champions ever Rumble (Dusty Rhodes won, lmao). It was tremendous. Also, have you noticed that they only ever give the number 30 spot to someone important? I've never seen a midcarder get number 30, it's always someone who's a big deal (usually Andre or Bret). I liked the little touch, since that's kind of how it is now.
Oh, and I would be remiss in not mentioning how awesome it is that in "Relive" mode for Austin vs. Rock at WM15, one of the botches is actually an objective. You have to do the whole Spanish announce table sequence twice to get it to break, which happened at the actual event. That's just an adorable little touch.
Anyway, I went into this game not knowing the roster and was surprised at the omissions. I mean, I knew Randy Savage and Mick Foley weren't going to be in it, but I was genuinely shocked that some other no-brainers weren't in it. So I pose this question to you all:
Who are your top 10 most glaring omissions from the roster (who have no political reason, like Foley or Savage, not to be there?):
1. Tito Santana: An unforgivable omission. Dude wrestled at the first one! You have Nikolai friggin' Volkoff in the game and not Tito?! 2. Ricky Steamboat: Though it makes sense, since you can't bring up Ricky Steamboat without bringing up his opponent for, arguably, the greatest match of the first 15 WMs. 3. Razor Ramon: I mean, seriously? Where the hell is he? He's the one I wanted the most. I don't know of any political reasons for why he'd be excluded, and I'd love to see him in a future version of the game.
Those are my only vital guys. The rest of my list are just personal choices I would have wanted to see in the game:
4. Goldust 5. Owen Hart (though I know why he isn't there) 6. Sid 7. IRS 8. Earthquake 9. "The Model" Rick Martel 10. Original Kane (I mean, we got old school Taker, why not old school Kane?)

Steamboat, Santana, Martel, Smash, Crush, Razor Ramon, Paul Orndorff, Bob Orton Jr., IRS, Earthquake. I suppose Ax could be considered on bad terms, which could lead them to not even bother with Smash and Crush. Many fans would complain if Smash and Crush were the version of Demolition used in the game anyway.

So I decided to check out Create a legend and since the outfits were blatantly in there I made Goldust & Giant Gonzales. Do they do that to avoid paying them likeness rights or whatever. If your just going to flat out put thier costumes in create mode why not make them an official character? Razor Ramon Dusty Rhodes (polka dot version) The Model Rick Martel Terry Funk Demolition Repo Man The Mountie Virgil (not really a legend but you know gotta have a jobber in) Dwayne Gill Did Dwayne Gill ever perform at WM? Like, under a mask (The Executioner) or as one of the Doinks? Did Micheal Hayes? This is supposed to be WM 1-15 and Hayes only appeared in the gimmick battle royal and that was at X7. If thats good enough for them then I expect to see Repo Man, One Man Gang, The Goon, Duke the Dumpster, The Goobledy Gooker etc. in the next installment.

"Who are your top 10 most glaring omissions from the roster (who have no political reason, like Foley or Savage, not to be there?)"
1 - Vader 2 - Goldust 3/4 - Demolition (If they could make Classic figures of them, and if Warrior could be in the game, the politics can't be THAT bad with Demo..) 5 - Razor Ramon 6 - Sycho Sid 7 - Earthquake 8 - Sensational Sherri 9 - IRS 10 - Marty Jannetty

Hey, you're right! I have no idea how that got past me. I just assumed he'd been on the undercard of either WM 1 or 2. That's kinda lame that he's in there then, actually. Or at least, it's lame that he got in over other superstars. I think calling it "Legends of Wrestlemania" sort of pigeonholes who you can put in it. I really think it was only done because Wrestlemania has plenty of memorable moments that are ready-made for the Relive, Rewrite, Redefine mode. I can't think of many other events that have had as many memorable moments as Wrestlemania that you could do that with, unless you want to have "Legends of Raw" and re-enact Austin spraying the Corporation with beer or something. But yeah, I'd easily have traded out Hayes for Santana, the single most glaring omission of all non-political omissions, in my opinion.

Wow. There really is NO point in bringing out a game of a licensed property for a system that isn't capable of handling it (if that's the reason why nobody looks the way they're supposed to). British Bulldog looks like an old man, Ted DiBiase looks like Billy Ray Cyrus (80s version), and The Rock is...considerably not-ethnic. The only person who looks even remotely like they're supposed to is Jake Roberts, and that's because his look actually fit into the whole "give everybody a mullet and mustache" aesthetic of the game. Anybody know how it plays?
