Why is Flair/Trips and Luger on there. Flair if you call him a star was really of the 80's Trips did not really hit the super big time until 2000/01 while Luger and his lex express was the bus ride to no where. So I take it you didn't watch WCW?

So I take it you didn't watch WCW? Exactly. Lex Luger already got over big in NWA/WCW before WWE signed him for WBF. He was already the longest reigning United States Champion (when the belt was almost as important as the world title) and was the WCW Champion before he went to WWE.

Also he was the biggest face going against nWo at the beginning.
When Giant and Savage jumped ship, it was only him who stood against the nWo.

Also, not that I'm a HHHater or anything, but I don't think he should be included on this DVD as he really didn't become a "star" until about late 1999 to 2000. He wasn't really a top guy during the 1990s aside from being the leader of DX in 98. Even then, he was largely a comedic character (look at his commentary at KOR 1998). I'm sorry, but I just don't buy Hunter Hearst Helmsley, a man who was doing hog pen matches and getting squashed by the Warrior at the time in question, a top star of the 1990s. In the 2000s of course, but not really before that IMO (even as Terra Ryzin).

I have to stick up for HHH here because I think he belongs here because his 1996 - Heel turn at mania XV era was great and he had some awesome matches.
I loved the whole "Hunter Hearst Helmsley" gimmick (I also liked Chyna too)

No original ECW wrestlers? Pass. its called greatest STARS of the 90s, not indy wrestlers Why is Flair/Trips and Luger on there. Found the charachter boring either heel or hero in the WWF. And for your info we didnt get WCW in the UK in the 80's or early 90's (Not where I could find it anyhow) and my first memory of Flair is showing up in the WWF claiming to be the real world champion. I personally found him boring and annoying (Not in a great heel way) and wondered what he was doing in title matches. But hey you like Flair more power to you. Though it was not suprising that Flair was in the mid card by the 93 Rumble. Now someone could prove me wrong but WCW only really got big over here interest wise when Hogan went over there. I have seen Trips King of Kings DVD of his ment to be greatest matches. And while the person Paul Levesq comes across as more likeable and honest in his desire to get to the top after looking at those matches (Some good some not so good) I still dont think he would be at the top as long as he has been if not for the fact Vince has always liked him even before he became his son in law. and with Stone cold and the Rock gone and guys like Booker and RVD buried and HBK being no threat to him as his best buddie he has no real competition for the top spot at the time. but thats another thread. BTW I am seeing Bret Hart at a book signing later any questions you like me to ask him from you?

You could make a case that Owen didn't belong (this coming from someone who called Owen his favorite wrestler for much of the mid/late 1990s) and that Goldberg, Savage, Vader, Giant/Big Show, Sid, Kane, or Ultimate Warrior could have been mentioned, but overall I enjoyed the documentary part. I didn't care for them including Waylon Mercy to their segment on the worst gimmicks.

To Flairs credit even he seems a little embarrased on the DVD when thats mentioned as the best. Persoanlly the Savage/Steamboat blows that match or the 2 out of 3 falls out of the water which is probably why Flair slags off that match in his book. And we will route over here for who ever we like not who we are told too. Back in 03 there was a tag match and Kurt Angle (TNA tour had huge success over here with Kurt as the main attraction not to long ago) was ment to be the "Heel" but he was liked so much they cheered that when he was not in the ring there were chants of "we want Angle" That in the end Taz jokingly said that Kurt was America's hero and you cant have him. The Hart/Angle/Dynamite Kid style of wrestling I think is whats popular over here (Though I could be wrong) certainly for me it is and I just find the Flair spots boring but as I said I could be wrong. And Brets not bitter he seems quiet and a bit shy always honest in his opinions but certainly not bitter.

They toured here in '93 on two seperate occasions.

I want this set. It's gonna bring back so many memories. I loved being a fan when guys like Scott Hall and Bret Hart were in their prime. I still love wrestling, and maybe it's just because I was a kid, but it's never been quite as much fun to be a wrestling fan as it was for me in the late 80s through mid 90s.

My only complaint about this DVD is the fact that they just "copy and paste" most clips from DVD's already out. I knew this could happen, but was hoping for at least new interviews about the stars.
After watching this though... I think it's safe to say a DVD full of Razor Ramon Vignetts would be a sure hit! The one where the waiter asks Razor to pay the bill.... genius.
