Some people like Rick the Sign Guy may fly over all the country just for weekend house shows, but I don't care to go to anymore house shows. The main reason being is that all you hear at house shows are the kids yelling and screaming. I understand wrestling has a huge children's following, but for some reason, all you hear at a house shows are the kids voices the whole time. I don't know if is the acoustics, since they are in smaller venues, and without the major sound systems set up. Does anyone else find it the same way ? When I go to TV taping, is the same demographics, yet I am not annoyed by the kids. Don’t get me wrong, I love it when I see kids having a great time at a wrestling show, but I am just annoyed by it when I am at a house show. If anybody has ever worked in an elementary school, which I had done for several years, house shows are like listing to a school playground for two hours. Does anybody have a theory to this?

I don't have a theory, but I do have a bad house show experience to share.
I went to a WCW house show around 2000, Brian Knobbs fought somebody in one of WCWs Trashcore matches. The match itself lasted maybe ten minutes. Then Knobbs got on a mic and started trash talking (or so I think, the mic audio sucked) the crowd for nearly 30 minutes while they cleaned up the mess from the match.

I wish I had a videocamera at a house show I went to in which Tony Chimel stunned Finlay.

Did you know that at a house show Brian Knobbs threw Finlay through a table and sliced his leg open which badly lacerated a nerve and almost caused him to lose his leg?

I had been to many of Brian Dixon's All Star Wrestling cards before I went to my first WWE house show, and the work on the house shows reminded me a lot of those sort of shows.

WWE does Cage matches and hardcore matches at its house shows last I heard. The last house show I went down, the main event was a cage match. There were also no kids screaming.. just a bunch of angry adults cursing.

Ehh there Kids who still believe, I think that's a good thing I was the same way, heck I still mark out. It's what wrestling is all about, sometimes it does bother me when kids us obsence remarks and gestures with their parents/guardians sitting right there and laughing. But hey who am I to judge. Considering Philadelphia and Atlantic City rarely get house shows I haven't been to one in awhile. I hope they come back to Wildwood soon. I would like to see one.

The crowd varies a lot.
I went to two houseshows, both in Vienna. In the first, there were a lot of kids in the first few rows, but the majority was adults. Maybe a sixth of the audience were smarkish dicks who insisted on cheering every heel, even after they just ran down the country and city for cheap heat. Bugged me a lot more than the kids mindlessly cheering for literally every punch from a babyface.
The second show I went too, there were mostly kids with their dads and a bunch of people my age (17-20ish). There were still some asshole chants, but no heel cheering (aside from me trying to start a "slam the midget" chant during a Finlay vs Henry match) or cursing. Paired with some really great matches, great show all in all.

My first house show featured a fatal-four-way ladder match and a No-DQ 6-man tag!
Plus the last two MSG house shows I went to had a cage match main event.
