I didnt think he was 'just' released, Vince sent him to rehab and then they released him after he'd gone through the program, that's why Regal always says Vince saved his life.
He then went back to WCW for a few months and then came back, clean at least for a bit, as the goodwill ambassador.

I loved his teenager-pushing-up-the-bicep-from-behind flex move he used to do. I always thought it was mocking the guys that weren't as good of wrestler as he, and focused way too much on their body.

I noticed Bradshaw's "shocked" reaction after he got pinned. I don't know what the hell he was so surprised about; he didn't even try to kick out.

From interviews I've heard, Regal's real life voice isn't posh at all. It's pretty standard north west England accent I hear all the time. Him being a "blue blood" is just an easier heel gimmick to get over.

Him being a "blue blood" is just an easier heel gimmick to get over. I remember a promo he cut on HHH, when Regal was mentoring Eugene, after HHH had brutalized one of the two of them. He was pissed, and he sounded intense, and not at all snobbish and "blue-blooded."

I don't think the blue collar thing was difficult for him to convey because wasn't he from that background in Black Pool. It was the drugs, I also heard that's why he was let go. Regal isn't actually from Blackpool, he's from Wolverhampton. EDIT: After a quick journey to Wikipedia, he's from Codsall Wood, just north-west of Wolverhampton. Codsall and Codsall Wood are in Wolverhampton (although certain residents of Codsall Wood consider themselves too posh to be a part of Wolverhampton). And his accent is closer to that of a Black Country accent (Wolverhampton and surrounding areas) than the North West.

It's awesome how he mixes and pours one whole bag's worth of concrete, then has a look on his face like he just built Stonehenge. If this wasn't a rib, it's some of the best unintentional comedy I've ever seen.

Also, its the only vignette I can think of where is the wrestler is compared to cement.
