It probably isn't a big deal, as long as the rating goes back to normal next week.
If it continues......well, Mark Henry is free for championship reigns.

It's easily my favorite WWE show right now. Do you think you'd get to see guys like Evan Bourne and Jack Swagger get 10-15 minutes to have a good and exciting match on Raw? Hardly. That's kinda how I feel. Once you get past the 12 minutes of friggin' Randy Orton Rewinds from RAW, it's a great show. It's funny, the worst part about ECW is the RAW clips... and ECW is the supposed C Show. ECW more times than not has my favorite match of the week.

Wasn't there an NBA Playoff game last night? There were playoff games on last Tuesday, and the 2 Tuesdays before that, also. Also, every other night since April 18. Still doesn't help. The ratings have been low for a few weeks now and, then two of the more popular teams in the playoffs have games like they had last night, it's gonna hurt ECW. That's not to say that if the product was better that they couldn't hold on to a bit more though.

Parents may have thought that "The Peep Show" may not be kid-friendly.
Expect Christian to be relegated as a dark match jobber with a new gimmick: Santina's gynecologist.

Wow, that's an old Impact rating.
IMO they have too much filler lately in the form of RAW rehashes, Kozlov squashes, and promos where the main event should be.
I like ECW when they STFU and wrestle, when they do that it's hands-down the best show. The line-up is too thin for Swagger and Christian to not be wrestling regularly. I think they miss Miz/Morrison also. One should have stayed.

This will lead to Vince saying Christian is a ratings disaster, and burying him and putting him only in dark matches. Koslov will be ECW Champ. Sadly I could see this happening and I would be livid. Christian is awesome. ECW overall is pretty much awesome too with Christian, The Hart Foundation, Bourne... often they got the best matches of any show all week. Not their fault they're on some lame channel at 10PM.

Well it normally gets 1.1-1.3, so I would say the NBA playoffs and NHL playoffs have something to do with it.
Now this isn't just about this one rating but ECW's 1.1/1.3's overall. ECW is pretty poorly advertised on the other shows. ECW shows RAW rebound, same with SD!. RAW sometimes show SD! rebounds but, ECW gets nothing.

Wrestling shows don't really fit with the theme of SciFi Channel anyway...and as good as Christian is, its difficult to consider the show "ECW" anymore, as virtually everyone associated with it save Dreamer has left. The name is about as devalued with the current audience as WCW is.

ECW is damn good right now, the rating doesn't reflect the quality, merely the interest - which is a different thing all together.
With Christian, Swagger, Bourne, and The Hart Foundation they have a really solid base. Ryder looks like he'll do well, and it could get interesting with Burchill now it looks like they are deciding to do something with him. The only problem is their top stars have recently debuted, and therefore can't carry a brand just yet. To the casual fan or kid they still don't mean much, even though to us you can tell the show has serious potential. Give it a few months and time to weed out the older dead wood (which they have done a good job of in the last year or so) and ECW will have itself firmly established with an identity where the future stars go to shine. Smackdown will then be the wrestling show and Raw the entertainment show. And all will be well. It just takes time for these things to happen.

I find it ironic that when Christian was in TNA the ratings were getting 1.1 but now that Christian is in the big leagues, he's in a show that gets a 0.9.

The ECW title is the European Title redux. Watching WWE's version of Triple A where they keep veterans they have no use for on the roster with young stars they dont think are ready for the big leagues yet isnt enthrawling television most times. And if ECW were to do something mild blowingly awesome it'd probably be on Smackdown or RAW.

They oversaturate the marked by having 3 other shows, too much TV is not a good thing all the time.
Though, I really enjoy ECW, a lot more than Raw lately.
