Really only one thing to say bout Raw. the Shawn Michaels thing was genius. and this is coming from a lifelong Hulkamaniac, but man even I wanna see him put Hogan down now. I am so psyched that the one PPV I FINALLY get to go to, and it's HBK and Hogan in the Main Event. I know that building is gonna rock that night. I hope that HBK wins that match and no-sells the leg drop. Y'know... I may break my own rule and order SS this year.

SummerSlam and Wrestlemania are the two I order every year. I'm a big nostalgia mark, so I'll be watching the HBK v Hulk match very closely. I think Hulk will put HBK over, since Hulk is gonna be gone after SS anyway. Who knows?

Michaels was ggrreeat. I'll definately be cheering the heel in that matchup. After GAB, it looks like the only thing they really have going for SS.
I watched it in a breakroom at work, and the other guy there was just slowly shaking his head while Michaels hit all his points.

The moving of the announcers table on RAW last night was a permanent decision. Some may have thought it was done to create space for the "Battle of the Bands" segment, but it is an official move back. The announcers will main a three-person squad, with them returning to the ring side area every week.
Next week's RAW main-event will be John Cena defending the WWE title against Carlito. If Carlito wins, he will take Cena's spot in the semi-main-event of SummerSlam against Chris Jericho.
The Diva Search segment on RAW next week will be a "Queen of the Mountain" competition. Whatever that means, but nice play on the Jeff Jarrett moniker in TNA.
And finally, Eugene will defend his Olympic gold medals next week during the first ever "Eugene Invitational," where his first opponent will almost certainly be Kurt Angle.

It's a no-brainer. Two guys (like em or not) who are partly responsible for wrestling's popularity and growth finally taking each other on. It'll be good stuff.

You think Hogan won't put Shawn over? I dunno. He put The Rock over and that was when he was still gonna be around. I like both guys a lot(Shawn is my favorite wrestler though) and I think they'll put on a good show, regardless.

The weirdest thing for me was seeing Flair put over Hogan in that montage when you know he just wants to poke his eyes out, according to his book. For the match finish, I'm hoping to see: superkick to Hogan, Hogan kickout, legdrop, pin, run-in from Flair costing Hogan the match.

My problem is that Hogan is, to me, the antithesis of everything I enjoy about wrestling. He's predictable and plodding and pandering and I've ALWAYS found him to be that way. Even as a kid. It's pretty much the hope of watching Shawn Michaels, who could wrestle figure-8s around Hogan, turn him into tie-dyed pudding that'll make me order.

I'm pretty positive the Flair thing and that entire montage was on the Hogan dvd which I think came out before Flair's book.. I've got both, guess I could check.

You know, that may be the first intelligent argument against Hogan that I've ever heard. I was a HUGE Hulkamaniac growing up, and even though I know how his matches are gonna go, I still enjoy them. To me, he's like a giant oak in an everchanging sea of wrestling. Some of the changes are good, some of them are bad, but you always know what you're going to get out of Hogan. HBK is by far my favorite wrestler, and I hope they let him go over Hogan, but regardless, I still think the match is going to be a good one.

I didn't like the fact eugene won the inventational. It was the perfect thing to do to get a new comer over. I really wanted Matt Striker to win just because he needed it more.

see to me
Hogan = Coca Cola.
Classic, you always know what you're gonna get, you may occasionally get tired of it, but it's always a gonna be there in the background of Americana .. you may not even have loved it, but you've got good memories of it at least in association with other things you've enjoyed.
Always Hogan. There I've worked out their entire tie-in sponsorship right there 4 weeks in advance. Hire me WWE.

Thank you. (Notice I did it without that build-up of hater foam in the corner of my mouth!)
I'm hoping it's good. This is one instance where I wouldn't mind being proven wrong.

That would definitely out-rank the Sketchers Skid Mark of the Week or whatever they're using lately.
