I can't believe that Dremaer would leave when he'd basically stopped wrestling and taken a backstage job before ECW came back.

Worst "what's [name that sounds kind of like their WWE name, but not quite] doing in the Impact Zone" joke ever. Flair returning wouldnt bother me that much. Him running in to save Teeeeesta just looks like Bats is a chump, though. (Wrestling is fake you guys...they can just do another retirement match)

Flairs money problems are all his own damn fault for the lifestyle he CHOSE to live for years and years. If he had settled down at some point and started acting his damn age he'd probably have something left over.

Not quite sure how MUCH he'd have left...Hogan got rid of ONE wife and it cost him half of everything...Flair's done that three times. OUCH.

An 1/8 of what he would be worth if not for the women if I have my math correct.

Yeah, poor Ric Flair. Wasting all that money on a luxurious lifestyle, what a downer. It was his own fault that he lost so much money, he has nobody but himself to blame. So, I don't see why I should be sympathetic to someones financial issues, when it's his own doing. If he really had those money issues, why bother retiring and coming back an year later? He can make plenty as a road agent or a manager or as an on-air personality, but Flair loves to be in the spotlight. He won't settle for anything less than a match with the legacy. I sure hope Vince puts his ass in place.

Some of you fans act like Flair owes you not returning or something. It's RIC FLAIR. He can do whatever the hell he pleases for all I care.

Hold on a second...
I don't think Flair owes me a thing. I'm just saddened by the whole situation, first and foremost because one of the biggest Superstars of all times is forced to step back into the ring to get a "pity paycheck".
And because he has himself to blame for being 60 and broke, despite thirty years of Main Eventing.
The Nature Boy lifestyle my ass... Three ex-wives... and for sure the last one didn't marry him because he was a sexy young man...
Look, Hogan has been going through awfully hard times lately, and that's gonna cost him truckloads of money. Partly because of bad judgment, but mostly courtesy of a greedy wife and sheer bad luck.
Flair's situation is much more down to poor judgment.
And last but not least... Flair DID have a job with WWE, where he was basically getting paid to do nothing, just travelling around promoting the product. I'm dead sure had he explained his situation and asked for a [sensible] raise, Vince wouldn't have said no.
Instead Ric had to ask for his release, just to cash in a couple of grands doing shoot interviews and hoping to land a lucrative deal in Japan or God Knows Where.
And now, look who's back... crawling.
The saddest part of it all?
Fans WOOOOOOOOOOing and cheering for a human trainwreck.
Suddenly, Shawn's words about "wrestling tragedies" and "wrestlers limping into a gym, working for gas money" sound sinisterly prophetic. Not to mention The Ram...

1. Living "The Nature Boy Lifestyle" does not garner sympathy for blowing all your money. I maybe make in a year what Flair probably made in a couple weeks and yet still manage to save money.
2. One would think that after divorcing the first wife, Ric would've considered either a) not getting married again or b) perhaps writing a good pre-nup.
I'm sorry, I really can't garner any sympathy for the guy at all.

The real winners through all of this:
Ric Flair's wife Hulk Hogan's wife
It has to be awesome to just sit on your ass your whole entire life, live a 20-30 year vacation from work instead of 2 weeks a year, and get showered with these ex-orbitant sums of money. Money without working (in the traditional real-world sense).
Life sucks, and you have to deal with it. EXCEPT if you're Ric Flair's wife, Hulk Hogan's wife, or any wife cleaning out their husbands when they sat at home like losers and unemployed grubby bums as adults.

As far as Hardy (possibly) taking an undisclosed amount of time off, as long as he stays clean and can come back on good terms, then more power to him.
As far as Flair, I'm not sure how to think at this point. On the one hand Flair NEEDS money, not for his own needs, but for finanicial obligations that others have saddled him with. On the other hand, depending on how he's booked this could turn into a horrible joke and a stain on the decades long career of Flair.
Taz as the other member of the Nation of Violence makes sense, hearing Samoa Joe refer to himself, and solely himself as an entire nation is begging for some asshole of a heel to make a bad fat joke.
Dreamer.....meh, give him a title shot, decent win over Christian and a loss to Jack Swagger later in the show for the title. Title gets back to Swagger, Dreamer gets his title and stays on ECW, but loses it so quickly that he's still firmly in the same spot on the card.
