I'd say something about Vengeance, but since my stance on Kane vs. Edge is that it's not worth talking about, I'll just post these paragraphs about the Triple H/Batista situation which I wrote in another thread.
...Speaking of Batista or Triple H getting drafted to SmackDown, don't you all think that either guy will be drafted before Vengeance, but they'll both compete at Vengeance anyway? Let's remember that they signed a contract to wrestle there, so regardless of brand splits the contract for Vengeance still stands.
If this does happen, these are the options:
Batista gets drafted, Triple H wins the World Title and keeps it on Raw,
Triple H gets drafted, Batista keeps the World Title on Raw,
Batista gets drafted, retains the World Title and takes it to SmackDown, or
Triple H gets drafted and takes the World Title with him to SmackDown.
I'd personally prefer the non-World Title to get drafted, because I don't like the idea of having both World Champions getting drafted despite what the odds are, although it'd be exciting despite the unreality.
Speaking of that angle, don't you think the storylines leading up to the HIAC match have been without any real sense or logic? For example, Triple H claims that this will be the last encounter, and this is his third try already.
Doesn't this mean that if Triple H does win, if neither he or Batista gets drafted to SmackDown regardless of who's holding the belt, Batista won't be able to get a rematch, despite the fact that he should get a rematch because he successfully defended his title two times against the same person that beat him for it? I mean, the "Rematch Clause" works for other guys, but not Batista? But by the same token, it opens up about three different directions concerning who'll get drafted and under what conditions, two of which are logical (either Batista or Triple H gets drafted, but since Batista is on the different show he can't get his rematch and revenge on Triple H and starts to complain about being screwed), and one that is not (both guys remain on Raw, but Batista can't get a rematch because Triple H claimed it was the final encounter).
But if Batista keeps the World Title, it still means that there are three different possible directions, but only one route is predictable rather than without logic; if Triple H goes to SmackDown, all is well; if Batista goes to SmackDown with the World Title, all is well; if both guys remain on Raw, it most likely means that Batista will lose the World Title to someone else and Triple H will beat that person to become an eleven-time World Champion.
I prefer Batista to keep the World Title, because even though a draft for either man would be great for both parties, if both men stayed on Raw Batista remaining the World Champion is the lesser of two evils. Why? Because if Batista keeps it and Triple H is still on Raw, it's easy to predict that he'll lose it and Hunter will later regain it, but since we can't say this for sure, I'll give that route the benefit of the doubt. But if Triple H keeps it while Batista remains on Raw, Batista can't get a rightfully deserved rematch because Triple H said so, and that's nonsensical (or it'll lead to a lame #1 Contender's match, or Batista WOULD get a rematch in a normal singles match AFTER a Hell in a Cell match, which is without logic, too).
If both men were to stay on Raw, Batista DEFINITELY needs to keep the strap. But a draft for either man would be beneficial to both parties.
