Did I dream this commercial? I think I was half asleep, but I distinctly remember seeing a commercial for a Hal Jordan Green Lantern DVD coming out, possibly Tuesday. Anyone able to fill in the gaps of my mostly shot memory?

Yep, it drops on Tuesday. It looks like a solid adaptation of Hal Jordan and Sinestro's backstory.

Okay, so I was half awake for it, then. Looked it up on imdb, and it looks okay. A lot of the guys that have done DCAU stuff in the past got together on this one, so I think it'll be pretty solid.

every review I've read of it says that it's a green lantern version of training day.
that should be interesting.

Yeah, basically, after JLU, Teen Titans and Krypto went off the air, DC comics decided it could no longer count on Cartoon Network to distribute it's animation, so they started a line of Direct to Video DVDs with the Various DCAUC teams. So yeah, Bruce Timm & Co is behind it, so it should be solid.

Hopefully he changes his voice up a bit, otherwise I'm going to be waiting the entire film for him to cal Hal "dumbass".

Everyone knows yellow isn't the weakness of Hal Jordan, it's a swift kick in the ass, so he's in trouble.
Did I see wrong, or on one of the commercials, did Hal make a folding chair with the ring to hit someone? That's both awesome and hilarious.

the movie looks fine. For some reason the thing on the 2 disc version I am most looking forward to is the featurette on Blackest Night. I think it's awesome that they're using the dvd to hype the comic

I actually had to pull the commercial up on YouTube just to be sure, myself. Hal Jordan - he's hardcore! ;D

Yeah this DVD looks good, but in September Superman/Batman Public Enemies is coming out and being done by the same people. Its based off the first arc in Loeb's series and actually has Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy, and Clancy Brown are returning to voice Superman, Batman, and Lex Luthor respectively.

It's in the Best Buy flyer. If you get the Blu-Ray ($24.99) or the Special 2-Disc set ($19.99) you get a bonus figurine.
There's also a single disc for $12.99.
