I'm 75/25 in favor of Batista not being champion by the end of the night. You don't have a 7-minute steel cage match at a PPV for a major title with someone who isn't injured.

Batista will forfeit the title and Orton will face Cena for it.

Tonight Raw and ECW will renew their talent sharing agreement and Batista will vacate the title for a 20 man battle royal with 10 raw guys and 10 ecw guys for the WWE title. Jack Swagger will win.

Miz wins the belt tonight.
It's also raining meatballs here in Orange County, NY.

Makes you wonder if they took the belt off of Orton just so they could transition it right on to another heel.

Meltzer is reporting that Smackdown will once again have the main event match for Superstars, which will be taped tonight after Raw has finished its broadcast.

I agree with you personally, but they've given the belt to people coming off a string of losses before so I doubt that would hold them back. Unless they want to literally shock the s*** out of everyone and have Miz steal it, or Ted, I wouldn't bet on anyone besides Orton or Show.

The best scenario in my mind would be that they open the show with Batista coming out and announcing that he is hurt (they could say he was injured in the cage match) and he is having surgery tomorrow and will have to vacate the title. Then an 8 man one night tournament is set up to determine a new champion tonight. A battle royal would be fun as well. But of course, in reality, there will probably be some kind of handicap match or something stupid. Or Orton punts him, and he's forced to vacate (because then it gives him a fued when he comes back). But yeah, a tournament would be great - would give them a chance to elevate someone (like they did with Mankind and the Rock in 98, and Savage and DiBiase at WMIV)

What's scary is with as many ways as they've found to put a World Title on Edge, it wouldn't shock me in the least. I mean, assuming this does begin the turn for Punk, that would be Punk and Jericho on SD as top heels, and Taker will be back to fill the big face role. Move Edge to Raw, have him clash with his soon to be ex-wife GM causing Edge to eventually go face? .....I'm not sayin' ... I'm just sayin'.

Vickie: Batista, I am making you defend your title against an opponent of my choosing, TONIGHT! Batista: Hehehe. You think I'm scared Vickie??? *"You Think You Know Me"* Cole: OH MY KING! COULD IT BE?!?!?!? *Edge wins the WWE Title* Cole: THAT DAMN ULTIMATE OPPORTUNIST STRIKES AGAIN!!!

It could actually be booked as Vickie finding a way to stop Edge divorcing her. That's basically what she's been doing since he came back at Survivor Series.
