Perhaps leaving the horse steriods out of his bowl of Wheaties may help I used to like Batista but now could care less what he says/does after his remark about his wife in his "book" I think the remarks you were talking about were made up by someone and passed around- he never said anything like that about his wife in his book he even clarified it in an interview - He still has her name tattoo'd to his arm and they have been divorced coming on three years. The only disrespectful thing he did to her was cheat multiple times and he admitted that

Owen? Wasn't he legendarily faithful? Not everyone on the road is a cheater, it's a cop out, if you want to sleep around don't get married. I disagree with this statement-if we are talking about athletes as a whole (wrestlers, NBA,NFL,MLB etc etc)IMO i would say a good 95% have either slept with a rat/groupie or have a mistress in a town they frequent- However i do remember HHH saying in his book that he had a girlfriend for about 3-4 years and when he got his WCW contract and was about to hit the road-he broke up with her- i cant remember the reason he gave but it was along the lines of he didnt think it would have been fair to her.. like i have said before there was an austalian wrestling site and the groupies/rats didnt joke they took pictures of the guys in bed while they slept and posted them on the site-i really wish that site was still up and running- I think one of the wrestlers wives had it shut down Sometimes its just easier to cheat because there are many many girls trying to get a come up or just to say they have been with an athlete..coupled with the fact that it really does get lonely until you have to drive a good 3-400 miles or more to the next town and you make a stop at a diner, see a cute girl who is up for the ride with you.... I think alot of guys get married because i guess they want someone at home to come to- i cant rememebr who said it now but one of the wrestlers said its very lonely at home if you have no one

The admonition not to get married if you want to sleep around? The statement that not everyone on the road is a cheater? (Because by you estimate of 95% who are, that means it's true.)

HHH can say whatever he wants. He tore his first muscle at like 30. Batista's 10 years older than that, has torn it about 4 times, and is carrying about 40 pounds of unneeded mucle mass on his body. After Trips second tear, he slimmed down. Batista came back so big he couldn't even run. Agree. Batista had actually slimmed down a fair bit in the past. He was still big enough looking to be the big muscly guy fans want to see, but had definitely dropped a good 30 lbs or so and it did wonders for him I thought. Him going back to top level bodybuilder physique (through whatever chemicals he uses, legal or otherwise) in a short period of time isn't doing him any favors.

You know what would do Batista's career some wonders? If he were to start his own heel faction (preferably away from Legacy). He could use it the way Hogan used the NWO (i.e., he rarely wrestles but has his goons do most of the work, only to face the face of the month at the PPV). He would still be featured, would not wrestle often, can still give people the rub on his way out, and would be believable as the king of the mountain (NOT Jeff Jarrett or that overbooked ladder match named after him) that the face had to climb to get to him.
Edit: Sorry MiLo, I was not trying to steal your idea. I had not actually read more than the first two posts of this thread before I made my post.

I love how you can judge a person without knowing them through something in his book that wasn't pushed upon. His wife got a divorce, he's on the road all the time. Tell me about a pro athlete/celebrity who's out on the road and doesn't get some poon on the side Perhaps you need to read or re-read what he said before you start defending him...I mean, it was HIS "book", and I use "book" lightly. What else am I supposed go off of? It's his words. Unless his author couldn't read the crayon that he was relaying it through.

But why would we take the great opportunity to get Batista off our screens for good and turn it down by giving him a role like that?
