I remember that episode also, Al Snow telling them how huge of an honor it was for them to see his face. I was like "man, I must be really honored cause I saw it at least once a week for awhile. On a side not, I live in San Diego, and my friends dad ran into him at a resteraunt or something and was like "aren't you tht Rey Mysterio guy? My son is a wrestling fan." So, his dad must be super honored also.

I read that even though people supposedly aren't supposed to go back under a mask once they lose but some do under different identities.\
In WCW and before he was Rey Misterio Jr. Here in WWE he's Rey Mysterio. Different identity.

Different identity. Silver King didn't wear a mask in WCW. He does now in AAA. Though, to be fair, I don't know the entire story behind that...

Different identity. He's the same, characterwise. They just anglicized the name and dropped the jr. The promo videos before his debut showed footage of him in WCW and announcers have talked about him facing guys like Eddie in other promotions.

Lucha has kayfaybe too. Get over it.
Seriously, you can't lose your mask by having it ripped off in a match. The Art of Wrestling is a sacred contest, with the rules ordered by Hercules himself. You lose masks the same way you lose titles, by wager. You can't lose a title belt by some guy walking away with it. Unless Jericho challenges Rey to a mask match, and Rey accepts, it's not a valid loss. In fact, the heat should be on Jericho, for violating the rules. Which is the whole point of the angle. If Jericho were to win, the Mask would belong to him, and Rey would have no right to wear it.
As for Luchadores regaining masks, I assume the Box y lucha commission meets once a year on Santo's Pyramid to hear requests, and wrestlers must survive trials to regain their honor.

I hope he loses his mask and replaces it with a paper bag that has a question mark on it.

Forget about no-selling the most recent mask removal. Once again, he has ignored the "heritage" of Lucha Libre that the WWE announcers are so wonderfully adept at getting across to us. Once your mask is removed, putting it back on for any reason = NUCLEER HEATZ! This is the second time Rey's done it. Psycosis went back to the mask for a bit. The reason is if you lose the mask you can wear another one if you change your name. Rey explains that he can wear a mask again because he asked his uncle if he could just go by Rey Mysterio.

Unmasked in WCW? What the hell is WCW? Didn't Triple H invent wrestling?
