I always wondered why Shawn was on the floor for so long when I watched this in 1990. They didn't really show Hercules hitting him in the knee with the chain.
Good match though. Still think they should have done a Rockers/P&G match at WM VII (with LOD/Demolition also) with the Rockers finally getting revenge.

I doubt Power and Glory could've ever been headed for bigger things. They were two guys who never went much of anywhere in the WWF before that. It's not a surprise that once teamed up, they didn't go anywhere then either. I always wondered why Shawn was on the floor for so long when I watched this in 1990. They didn't really show Hercules hitting him in the knee with the chain. That was a kayfabe cover of Shawn's real knee injury. He couldn't wrestle that night, so they scripted as as an immediate injury and had Shawn remain outside the ring for the duration of the match.

I find it amazing that they put so much time into Power and Glory's heel turn and they never amounted to anything, i liked the team and I loved that they put them with Slick. I remember hearing a story on The Nasty Boy's shoot interview that Roma was very angry that The Nasty Boy's got the push that he was hoping him and Herc were gonna get.

I loved P&G and The Orient Express. 2 of the best tag teams never to hold the titles.

Just watched this match last night. You could see HBK limping on his way to the ring.

What I mean was, that after Summerslam you could have had a feeling it was going to be either Power and Glory or LOD to challenge for the Tag Titles. If you think about it, the win over the Rockers put them squarely in the title hunt. Instead, Power and Glory never really got a chance, went to WM VII and got completely annihilated by L.O.D. in a non-title match.

I'll take a gander and say that Roma was probably the reason the team never really succeeded. He was not well liked at all and had a really bad attitude. To be honest, I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did in the WWF in the first place. He probably did something backstage that influenced the execs to give the Nastys their spot instead.

I liked P&G so much, really a lot of people undercut them as a team, they were good.
Also Paul Roma was a good basic wrestler with great hops. Seriously most awesome missle dropkick ever

They were still getting the big push as of Survivor Series (being part of a sweeping team and then hanging with Hogan and Warrior in the big finale), so whatever they did to fall out of favor, it came between then and WM. They did get about 100 title shots against the Harts at house shows.

I remember watching this when I was a kid and I was pissed that Shawn Michaels was out on the floor for the majority of the match. He was one of my favorites back then. My how times have changed....

I liked Power and Glory. In fact, I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but Roma was one of my favorite wrestlers at the time.

They were a good pairing, and had one of the coolest finishers of their era.
Actually I think they should have been picked as transitional champions between Hart Foundation and LOD, insteat of the awful Nasty Boys
