Nippon TV in Japan has announced the cancellation of Pro Wrestling NOAH's weekly 30-minute weekly television show. Nippon TV will not air professional wrestling for the first time in March since February 1954.
Nippon is running in red ink, and in addition to eliminating Pro Wrestling NOAH's show, the struggling television network also axed a number of other regular programs to save money. The decision to cancel Pro Wrestling NOAH's programming was not a decision based on television ratings.
In addition to losing the television slot on Nippon TV, Yomiuri TV, NTV’s affiliate in the Kanto area (Osaka, the country’s No. 2 market) stopped airing NOAH programming back in September.

I'm pretty sure those are two separate stories from the preview of this week's Observer.

Time for this thread to be moved, or possibly locked... ok moderator It probably will considering it's not WWE related, so there's no need to get upset over it.

If it's the "longest running wrestling show" how can that be NOAH since NOAH has existed since 2000.
Also wow how far has NOAH fallen in terms of its relevancy
