I really need to get around to playing Lost Odyssey. You really should. It is only $30 BRAND NEW at GameStop. Unless of course you already own it and are just letting it gather dust....then shame on you. Yeah, it's the latter. I actually got it for free from club live (along with Gears of War, Forza 2, PGR4, both Scene Its, Too Human and Kameo)

Also, I've picked up three games for the 360 yesterday: GRiD, Rock Band, and Burnout Paradise (which I haven't played yet because GRiD is just sucking me in). Sweet, someone else has GriD now. You wanna play sometime?

Ok, I HAVE to get the Limited Edition version of NBA 2K10 this year.
Why? Well not for the Kobe Bryant poster or figure(both look cool, though), but rather for the metal game locker that comes with it. It is a f***ing metal locker that can hold 20 or so 360 or PS3 game cases!

Well, so much for limiting game purchases for now due to backlog.
I just snagged Prototype at West Coast used.
Then again, I got it for... $12.99.

The game came out only like 2 or 3 weeks ago! I knew it was recent as I knew ads were still running for it, but not as recent is it was. After I posted this, I checked amazon and used copies are still going for $50.

Well Kodu is now on the Xbox Live Community Games.
It is $5 and is the 360's version of LittleBigPlanet(except instead of creating custom levels, you get to actually make entire games with it).
With the endless possibilities it has to offer, the $5 price tag is NOTHING.

So I've played a little bit through Prototype and I'm really digging it. Not sure if it's worth $50 or $60, but it's definitely worth checking out either by rental or else when it drops to $30 or $40. The storyline is unique and intriguing... sort of Venom meets Resident Evil.
Speaking of which, I can't help but constantly think while running up the sides of buildings and gliding through NYC that this engine could've worked great for a Spidey movie with a few tweaks.
Oh, and I was bummed I didn't get an acchievement at one point. I pulled a post office box out of the ground and pitched it at a cop who was shooting at me. I really expected "187 Gone Postal" or something. Pulling two crimes off like that was definitely amusing.

sigh.... kotaku.com/5305087/ads-coming-to-xbox-360-dashboardSIGH!!!! Okay, what the hell am I paying $50+ for if you are going to start adding ADVERTISEMENTS to the service. I can understand for silver memberships. However, $50 is a lot of money. It is required to have for multiplayer games. Furthermore, my biggest fear about this is that it starts off as a small banner ad. In a few weeks, we'll start seeing animated ads. Then sound based ads. Then ads that you cannot skip. Then ads that are full screen, loud sounds, and are mandatory to see before you can start. Before the NXE, you could load the game straight from power-up. Now you are required to go through the dashboard. BAD idea, Microsoft. Microsoft then came out and stated that, and I quote: I need to let you know that you don't need to worry about a huge influx of ads across the dashboard. One of our core principles is to enhance, not interfere with the gaming experience, and we work directly with our partners to only deliver experiences that are relevant to the LIVE community. Silverlight will help make those ads a more organic part of the dashboard, like we've done with some of the NXE slots in the past. No one on the team wants to turn the dashboard into something that looks like like Shibuya Crossing. That's just not good for anyone. Okay, problem still exists. You are putting ads in a pay per service. This isn't like cable television in the sense of commercials. For cable, you pay for the service of cable television. Also, it IS a detriment. How many times have Motley and I stopped our rampage in Saints Row 2 when there's AT&T advertisements in game. If I could destroy the billboards, I'd be happy. Yes, there is currently ads in the dashboard. However, they always come with free stuff. My avatar is Dr. Pepper, as it was FREE, and I liked Dr. Pepper. Sometimes I hate Microsoft. If they do go through with it, I may just deny re-upping my gold account.

Eh, I couldn't care less so long as it doesn't force me to watch commercials and crap whenever I boot up the system.

Hell Yes!! EDF is an awesome game and I am very glad I bought it about 2 years ago. Game is simple mindless fun, and it is damn fun at that. From what I gather, it has a pretty good sized cult following.
