Sorry for the delay, guys, but here goes.

(Opening Ceremony of the 74th Annual Hunger Games.)

Opening Ceremonies

Katniss Everdeen looks out into the distance, from the once thought to be destroyed District 13, now a base of operations for The District Rebellion, toward her old home of District 12. She remembers that horrible day, where she was in the 75th Annual Hunger Games fighting for her life, thinking she was dead. She was strapped to bed, thinking the Capitol had captured her, only to find out, there was a group of undercover rebels, who told her nothing of the plan. She was angry, but quickly fell into depression, when she found out about some terrible news, about her district.

"Ms. Everdeen! comeback to the base!" yelled one of the rebels. Katniss followed him to District 13's giant public screen where all news of the war was given. On the screen was a message from President Snow, the leader of Panem's Government in charge at the Capitol.

"Attention District Rebels. It seems we are in a stalemate for this petty war. It's causing much problems in our economy and way of life, too many deaths, too much of a waste. I think it would be in both of our sides best interest to end this war as soon as we can. Wouldn't you agree?"

"It's been nearly a year, and I've tried my best in keeping the civilians of the Capitol oblivious to the war going on. Unfortunately it wasn't long for people to figure this whole thing out."

"They are outraged! But the populace is split in half. Some want the Districts destroyed, some want our government overthrown, some are undecided. Of course I quickly disposed of anyone who thought such things about their government, but that's besides the point. The point is, I feel as if whoever wins over the Capitol's populace, wins the war."

"Also it's been a year, since the last Hunger Games, and the People are Hungry for some bloody entertainment. I can't really put up a show, since we are in this war, but I decided on a new plan."

"How about I invite the Rebel leaders here to our good city, into the old Hunger Games Stadium? We can give both of our cases to the Citizen's and let them decide who is good and bad for them. This way, either side can win the war, with a convincing argument. What do you say? I give you my word, this is not a trap."

"Let me know your answer. I will call a cease fire, for the next month or, if you agree to this." With that President Snow's image faded.

The leaders of the Rebellion, thought it was an odd proposition, but agreed to it as they made their way to the Capitol City. The Peacekeepers surprisingly allowed the Rebels into the city, where they were kindly allowed to stay in the fancy hotel once used to house the Tributes, before a game.

Host Caesar Flickman steps out to greet the audience in the stadium, and the cameras used to broadcast this event for the whole nation. "Ladies and Gentleman! Welcome!" Applause echos throughout the stadium. "The Rules in this definitely odd version of the Hunger Games are as so:

* Everyone on this stage now, will give you their sides of the latest news on the war, and it is up to you, the audience to decide who you agree with. The vote is in the hands of the people!

*After they have given their sides of the story, you are allowed to vote on one person who you want lynched right here in this stadium!

*After the day ends, everyone retires to their sleeping quarters, and we meet each other once again, in one weeks time!

*Then we start the whole process over again, until someone wins!"

Caesar and several of the Rebels, shake their heads at the disturbing, bloodthirstiness, of these sick Capitol people, who seem to enjoy this sort of thing. Seeing it on TV is one thing, but live? It a wonder that these people are the final stage between a win or a loss for the Rebellion.

"Is everyone ready?" More applause and cheers erupt from the audience. "Then let the Hunger Games, Begin!"


District Rebels, it is your job to convince the audience that the Capitol's Government is evil. Help the citizens lynch them. Day One Begins.

I'm exited that Mafia is back! I missed it(yes, the WHOLE week ).

Its nice too see alot of the same faces, along with a few new ones. It's good to have a good group, while always maintaining an increase of intrest from others.

This is my 2nd time playing mafia on here. I learned quite a bit and hopefully I can be more helpful this time around.

I'm all still a bit foggy on the backstory but from what I've Wiki'd it sounds like quite an interesting set of sci-fi books, if a tad cheesy with a 16-year-old hero. Though it has Stephen King's approval, which speaks volumes.

And I never like these opening days, hard to narrow down mafia suspects.

Alright, we need to get this started! I will throw some questions out there just to get some talk going

Have you had any previous Mafia Game experience?
My answer: Yes, a few times, but only IRL. So this is my first time doing it on a forum. And it was some time ago so I'm most likely a wee bit rusty.

Would you say you have a good understanding of the game?
My Answer: I'm by no means an expert, but I like to think I have some clue, granted I've only played IRL before, and that's a completely different game experience than on here I would think.

Do you have a favorite role?
My answer: Straight up Townie, mostly because it requires more effort than scum, in my opinion of course.

But then, even the first day votes can be useful to analyze later in the game. So while odds are that we won't get a good lynch today, analyzing who voted for who and why might come in handy later.

Are we using the same color-coding system used in the write up text as was used for the Wrestlecrap Mafia game? If so I would like to remind people that my computer is kinda messed up I don't get color in text. So I am basically colorblind to text so if there is a color distinction in names could I get someone to point that out to me.

People need to stop lurking/get online IMO. Maybe if we offered cake rather than lynching things might develop quicker.
