EH! Sorry. He's great on the stick. Better than in the ring. But he's not the best in the company. Not even on SD. Kurt is light years ahead of him. He's not even a solid second. He's a CLOSE second. Remember Stevie, Regal, Taker and Dean are all on SD He's very good though Nah. JBL is the best. None of those guys would be able to carry a radio program. Naming Undertaker is just an insult, considering he barely has to say anything.

Just wanted to point out that even Triple H must be watching JBL and taking notes.
JBL was "wrestling God" weeks before H was "King of Kings".

Probably the funniest thing I've seen from the WWE in the past 2 years was from JBL...on the SD! when he came out with an inner tube, bottle of tequila, sombrero....
Walking on the mexican flag with a big smile on his face was just hilarious.

hmm ..used to be angle till he relaxed on his heelish ways. Jbl id say is the best..at present, cause flair isnt doing anything spectacular. Notice when he was with HHH how he was good.

How any of you can say that JBL is a better mic worker than Kurt Angle? You may have forgotten all the scary as hell promos Taker's done and all the classic stuff Stevie's done. All the great stuff Simons Dean's done in his short tenure or the spot on stuff Willy Regal's done. But to forget about Kurt Angle just means you side with the terrorists

I think JBL is boring, there I said it. His reign was horrible and his promo's are redundant.

Angle is about the most entertaining man to ever step foot in a wrestling ring, I'm just saying, I don't think anyone else has the pure talking skills that can equal John "Bradshaw" Layfield, "a wrestler, a best-selling author, a TALK SHOW HOST" EDIT: Geez, I need to type slower or something, I can't even figure out how to fix that. You get what I mean though, right?

How any of you can say that JBL is a better mic worker than Kurt Angle? Lately, Kurt Angle has forsaken all of his best traits; being goofy, funny and indulgent in his past accomplishments. He's now similar to Intense Heel Kurt last year, except without the 'heel' part. So, he leaves us with "Arrgh!" promos instead of his best material. JBL? He's hitting all the right notes. Scary as hell? Stevie Who? Stevie Ray? He's back? Not as good as Brad. Shaw. He seldom delivers promos ALLAYAYAELLALALAHH...

The SD promo from JBL was just a reminder why he is the best heel in the business today. Here's hoping the Wrestling God and American Hero saves the World Heavyweight Championship.

It's not too hard to do a radio talk show. You have material all day if you read a paper and have people call you.
And Okay , we're talking about best mic work now? Then I present Goldsust, Carlito, Foley (though he's part time), Trish and Mickie James and even Mr. McMahon
Who's better than JBL from this list? Vinnie, Mickie, Trish and Goldy

Okay, MAYBE Vince McMahon might be the best, I forgot about him. But no, actually, he's not as funny as JBL.

And Okay , we're talking about best mic work now? Look at the title of the thread, we were the whole time. Mick Foley may be the greatest of all time, but he's not an active wrestler, and thus does not count. I don't recall this being a 'greatest of all time' thread. Vince? He makes me want to change the channel. His last promo wasn't funny at all. Mickie? She hasn't even given a serious promo yet, and hasn't delivered much of a variety of promos. Goldust? See Mickie. Trish? Nope. She's good, but she's no JBL.

Mickie did give serious promos. The one where she kidnapped Ashley? Trish isn't as good as JBL? remember the maid of honor gimmick?
Look. JBL is good on the stick. Great even. I just wouldn't be that quick to classify him as the best right now as he's yet to do good promos as a face

Nah. I think we're looking at more recent stuff or else he wouldn't even be in the running. Even if it did, "DAMN">anything Bradshaw said

Mickie did give serious promos. The one where she kidnapped Ashley? If you want to judge a worker's mic skills by her participation in a ridiculous angle, then I don't think you're making a very solid argument. You weren't seriously convinced of Mickie when she revealed that she had kidnapped a blonde and stuffed her into an oversized box, were you? Remember Bradshaw's gimmick where he was a financial genius who entered the arena in a limo? Actually, he has. Kind of. I was convinced of JBL's ability to play the babyface role when he called Chris Masters a 'monkey boy'. That was a big markout moment for me.

If you have to remind someone of why another person is as good/better on the mic than JBL, they aren't even close to as good as JBL.
I voted "the best" but I would have voted "one of the best" if that was there, since that's a bit grandiose. JBL and Edge I would say. Angle is a pretty distant third, mainly because his current character is...while not boring...not the type that will have a memorable promo.
If you say otherwise, you're just another dirty immigrant.

I was convinced Mickie was a psycho. and adorable psycho, but a psycho nonetheless. The Masters line wasn't really a face comment cause both sides were kind of supposed to be faces or heels. + one line as a non-heel for one day does not a face make.
