The word going around the WWE locker room is that Vickie Guerrero was only being paid $500 per appearance, and on top of that she had to cover her own hotel expenses. There are some wrestlers who are understandably fired up over the rumor, feeling that the company could have done more to take care of the now-former RAW and SmackDown general manager.
Although, it is worth noting that WWE paid for Eddie Guerrero’s funeral, and friends suspect they did more to help out the family. So while the $500 per appearance rate looks horrible on the surface, the company may have quietly done more for Vickie and her children than the locker room is aware of.

Don't believe that for a second.
They didn't want her to go and she was really coming into her own as a character.

The biggest Heel in the last 5 years doesn't get paid 500$ bucks an appearance on a Network TV Show.
I would not be surprised if the reported missed a Zero.

Someone who was in major storylines for the past couple of years can't possibly get $500 per appearance.

Are you kidding me? $500 is absurd. This has to be as fake as the Batista "Yeah my wife had cancer but could it kill her to vacuum around the house every once in a while?" quote.

Garbage. No way she'd make $500 a show. It would have to be WAY more than that, especially if she got a TV/PPV appearance bonus like the wrestlers get.

Also this is Total BS
You gotta think that at one point Her Daughters,Chavo or even Rey would've heard about this and it would've gotten out WAY earlier

Maybe they did pay her $500 an appearance.
On top of an another salary.

Maybe they did pay her $500 an appearance. On top of an another salary. This. Between royalties and Eddy's contract that she worked out, she would be getting more than $500 per appearance. That would just be a downside guarantee most likely.

Could be true- i remember reading that Vince gave her the money for the rest of eddies contract so financially i think she is ok- if she wasnt she wouldnt have asked for her release to have family time
as for paying for hotel/travel unless you are the upper eschalon nearly all wrestlers pay for that anyway or most share hotel rooms etc

I can believe that she had to pay her expenses, but I don't at all believe the $500 per appearance deal...unless it was on top of a fixed salary/bonuses/downside guarantee/etc or any combination there of.

I highly doubt she was only making $500 per appearance.
She was a major on-screen character for several years in major storylines. There is no way should could have only been paid that. Even the underdcard jobber guys who are never on tv make more than that I imagine.

I call bluff on this. As someone who dosen't make $350 a week, I would ask for more than $500 per appearance if I was asked to do what Vickie was doing. I would have also demanded WWE Shop make up an "Excuse Me" T-Shirt with me getting a cut of the profit.
She had to be getting at least $1500 a night, so I sure hope this is newz.

The basic downside that all developmental wrestlers get in WWE on their pay releases is $75,000 pa.
As a featured performer, she would have been making likely double or even triple that with bonuses etc.
Hell, if they stuck an 'Excuse Me, I quit!" t-shirt on the website now, I'd buy one like a shot.

Well Eddie's contract was probably $200,000-$500,000 so if he signed a 3 year deal before he died, she would have $600,000-$1,500,000 right now.
Then she would get a cut of the shirts, armbands, and DVD sales.
Also all wrestlers get PPV bonuses and I'm sure she had at least one appearance each month on PPV.
Therefore yes she may have made $500, but in the long run, she's still richer than all of us.

That's like something a middle-class hooker would make.

Vickie was probably one of the top 5 heels in the WWE
If this is true.... It was sort of stupid.
