now this one isn't WWE, but..
One of the later episodes of Thunder in WCW, "The Worst Night of Mike Sanders' Life".
Thunder starts out with a Mike Sanders vs. Crowbar match, and for some reason, Jeff Jarrett is doing commentary. Well, at one point, in the middle of the match, Sanders just decides "the hell with this," and steals Jarrett's guitar to whack Crowbar with it.
Later in the night, Sanders is backstage, and Jarrett shows up, pissed off about Sanders stealing his guitar, and hits him with another guitar.
As soon as Sanders recovers (later in the night), Daffney shows up, pissed off that Sanders hit Crowbar with the guitar, and smacks him with a steel chair (screaming all the while), knocking him out again.
Also on this episode, Kanyon was on a rampage, giving Kanyon Cutters to anyone he could backstage. Naturally, you see where this is leading. As soon as Sanders recovers from the chairshot..... BANG! Sanders is knocked out AGAIN.
That may have been the single most brilliant piece of booking from WCW's dying days.

In Japan, there's a promotion called Dramatic Dream Team (D2T or DDT). They have a title called the Iron Man Heavy Metal title with the old 24/7 rule. During one show, the champion wins a match in the ring, goes back into the locker, and starts talking to the camera (in Japanese, I have no idea what he said)... and a ladder falls and hits him on the head. Knocking him out. And landing on top of him. And there's a ref nearby. Yup. The ladder became the 86th Iron Man Heavy Metal champion. The ladder lost the belt to another wrestler later that night... But about 6 months later, during a ladder match, in the ring, the ladder wins the Iron Man Heavy Metal title again... and retires. There was a huge ceremony... a 10 bell salute, a telegram of congratulations from another promotion, a video package, and lots of streamers from the fans. Here's a picture from the retirement ceremony: Vince McMahon must be kicking himself for not thinking this one up. Now that is the funny thing I've ever heard in wrestling, and that's saying a lot considering the stories on this board. Sounds like something that would happen on Family guy or the Simpsons.

For some reason, John Cena talking about Big Show eating people last night on Raw struck me as strangely hilarious.
