wasn't these photos taken after he had recent surgery? Or are they newer? Otherwise one would think he'd wear some cover over the stitches, when I had surgery I wasn't allowed to go near water for weeks, maybe my doctor is just a hack though.

Apparently there's water in the bottom of The Pit of Danger. Well it is a pit after all. Not a lot of drainage down there.

His belly button tattoo is so manly ... His belly button tatoo as well as his look in general seems to be a rip off of the singer of Godsmack.

Batista's body makes me queasy those veins are freaking disgusting aside from that he's literally as generic a muscle head as one could possibly set out to be.

Batista's veins look like snakes beneath his skin. What is it with vipers getting under his skin? .......I'll show myself out.

You know, I understand the hate on tribal tattoos, but I'm not totally against them. I don't even mind if the tattoo has little or no meaning. there's only 1 reason i can think of for not minding them: It could individualize you. The type of tribal tattoos that annoy me are the cleche ones where you just get a generic tribal tattoo around the arm or on the lower back or on the shoulder and things like that, just to have a tattoo. But, you could have a totally original design that no one else has but you, and is recognizable, and it could have no real meaning other than the intent of YOU being the meaning of the tattoo, like Goldberg's. Goldberg's tattoo had no meaning when he got it, but because of the original design it has become known as the Goldberg tattoo, a tattoo that other people get, and they get the tattoo because they realize that the tattoo has meaning.
Only original tribal tattoos have this power.

Only original tribal tattoos have this power. It's a one and done thing, though. If someone else gets it, it's no longer original. And tribal tats are ALL derivative and contain specific design tropes. That's how they're recognizable as tribal tats. If Batista were really original, he'd get a picture of King Arthur tattooed across his face.

What is up with wrestlers getting tats when they're on the shelf? Is this something Taker cooked up in Kangaroo Court or something? my brother and i noticed this. tattoos and sometimes a new hairstyle. My thought is, these guys get injured, they get bored because they can't work out, and their first thought is "Holy shit, I think I'll get some awesome tat work done!" It's like it takes precedence over any other hobbies they have, hanging with their families, or, god forbid, improving their work in the ring and on the mic and on their characters. I think it's a generational and a locker room thing, too.

Because tats (especially a large peice or peices) take a long time to heal, and sometimes a long time to finish. Not everyone can sit for 8 hours or more. So it makes sense to get them while away from the ring. You can't wrestle with a fresh tat.

If Batista were really original, he'd get a picture of King Arthur tattooed across his face. Yeah but I was saying that it's Ok for someone else to get a tattoo that has meaning and not be original. I was sayinging basically that there are 3 types of tattoos; #1 a tattoo that has meaning, #2 a tattoo that's original, and #3 a tattoo that has no meaning at all. The only kind of tattoo that I don't like is #3. Most people think that a tribal tattoo is #3, but I was making the point that a tribal tattoo could be #2 if done right, and if you become associated with that tattoo, then anyone else who gets it, it will be a #1 tattoo for them, and therefore everyone wins. The "bad" scenerio I was going for was that if Goldberg got some regular generic tribal tattoo that didn't have any kind of distinction whatsoever, then it would be bad and wouldn't have ever become a "Goldberg" tattoo. Then it would have been tattoo #3, but, because his tribal tattoo was very distinctive, not only did he make the tattoo mean something, but now anyone else who gets that tattoo is getting a tattoo #1, and not a #3.

So basically like those MMA guys on TUF, with random art on them, one guy just got a big BLACK blotch tatoo'd on him. I don't get it.
tatoos don't have to have meaning they just have to look cool.

They have the same belly button tattoo, half-sleeves on their arms, the same type of facial hair, similar skin tone, and used to have the same haircut. Also, Batista's theme song, if not Godsmack, kinda sounds like them, at least to me.

It's like it takes precedence over any other hobbies they have, hanging with their families, or, god forbid, improving their work in the ring and on the mic and on their characters. I think it's a generational and a locker room thing, too. My favorite was Umaga's, because he had only been suspended for wellness. My friend and I joked he had only been gone so he could get some nice new ink.

Batista was just spotted leaving the Tattoo shop with this beauty. Apparently, basketballs do hold grudges.
