I never understood why Hulk Hogan was a face after the 1992 Royal Rumble. He got eliminated fair and square in an EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF battle royal, but proceeded to cry and help the heel Ric Flair win. Then, Jack Tunney announced Hogan as the #1 contender for the World Title, even though Sid was the last one left in the Rumble before being eliminated (unfairly) by Flair.
Then on SNME, they showed a replay of the RR finish, except they completely changed the commentary (Gorilla and Heenan dubbed over how much of a "creep" Sid was for eliminating Hogan, instead of the regular commentary that took place at the PPV).
Then in a pre-match interview on that same SNME, Hogan claimed that Sid apologized and everything was fine between them (yes, Sid had to apologize for eliminating Hogan). Then Sid "turned his back" on Hogan, and we had the crappy WM main event of Hogan/Sid set up.
How Hogan continued as the face in that feud baffled me as a pre-teen, and it still baffles me to this day. And I was a HUGE Hogan mark.

I never understood how Mr Perfect could knock someone unconscious simply by holding someones leg before doing a normal suplex.

I always used to wonder (back before I was a fan) why they wore belts....I mean why not trophies or something? Also how did they keep eachother from beating eachother up backstage....and why so much hate? I see people on the street get along, but in wrestling...nope...they hate eachother.

I always thought it was weird that nothing happened to heels that you could get arrested for in real life (like Austin trying to break into Brian Pillman's house or the nWo assulting Ric Flair in a field and leaving him for dead)
I also never could understand why a DDT could knock someone out for Jake Roberts or a flying elbow could end a match for Randy Savage but those moves would nvver work for anyone else.

I wondered why Ted Dibiase didn't try to buy the WWF or make his own federation since he was so rich.

stop this capacity crowd thing, when i was a kid and thought wrestling was real i never understood how wrstlers never had bruises or black eyes or broken bones and how they showed feuding wrestlers together at atuograph signings and things out of wrestling, ofcourse now i know its all scripted but i miss those days when u thought it was all real Here's a good one for you. Gene Okerland used the "compacity crowd" line at Bash at the Beach 95 to which Bobby Heenan correctly questioned "capacity crowd! What's the capacity of a beach." The event was held on an actual beach in case you didn't figure. One thing that used to puzzle me when I first watched wrestling was if these guys supposedly want to tear each other apart, why wait to get in the ring why not kick the crap out of each other in the street on your day off. OR The way announcers treat faces and heels differently when they've turned. This was especially annoying when Jim Ross had to treat Kane as a face even though he'd set him on fire. OR Gimmicks, take Kamala for example - a supposedly wild uncivilised "Ugandan headhunter" that can wrestle(badly). Why would he even want to wrestle. I look back at that stuff and laugh now. Suspension of disbeleif is a wonderous thing. WRESTLING = Where logic comes to die.

Not as a kid, but long after the fact - if these guys all had other jobs (dentist, garbage man, race car driver), why would they need to wrestle? Are things really so bad in porn that a guy can't make a buck? ;D
And I like the thought of Triple H commanding "The Game" to play as he walks down the street. I picture Peter on Family Guy "Ridin'onthebus, ridin'onthebus..."

When I started watching wrestling I was a WCW fan so there was a WHOLE LOT I didn't understand.
It was '99 WCW. Yeah.

I could never understand how JBL had the WWE title for 9 months? Survive in various hardcore match types, defeat the likes of Booker T and Undertaker, but lose to John Cena cleanly under ten minutes and by an FU, possibly the weakest finisher of today.

One thing I don't understand now, let alone when I'm younger or a new wrestling fan:
Why do they use set-up wrestling spots in a street fight? Does anybody in their right mind have their adversary down, then climb up on a fire escape to hit a kneedrop? No, they get on top of the guy and beat the crap out of him.

I never understood how............ On Saturday Nights Main Event right before Hulk's match Hulk would be wearing a Blue Hulkamania t shirt with his cross on and a red bandana being interviewed by Mean Gene and then not even 2 seconds later Hulk would be coming to the Ring in a Yellow Bandana and yellow t shirt. Hahah

If it was anyone else other than Hogan pulling Sid out..that guy woulda had a heel turn (if he wasn't heel already infact he following year i think Lawler did something similar to that to Mr Perfect) the SNME match i remember ..Hogan had Beefcake as ghis "secret weapon"..god knows why and Sid walked out on Hogan..although I'd have done the same if I was tagging with the guy who snatched away my chance of winning a title..that match was just to make the people turn on sid completely because before then the only real reason Sid was turned heel was because Hogan effectively screwed him out of the title which between you and me..just doesn't sound right at all

Here's one that bothers me, why is it as SOON as someone turns heel they forget how to fight and turn into giant cowards.
Hulk Hogan can beat up 50 guys in one match (With a little help from Macho Man) but soon as he turns Heel he's scared to death of JUST Sting or JUST DDP and has to cheat to get a win over them?
Same thing for Stone Cold

Maybe I shouldn't say this, but I still don't understand why Vince kept the show going after Owen's death. In my opinion, that was an awful decision. Vince, and any other promoter of any sort of entertainment business probably paid a great deal of attention to what happened in Toronto during the big Metallica/Guns-n-Roses concert. James Hetfield got seriously burned in a pyro accident, making it impossible for Metallica to continue. However, G-n-R was still capable of playing. After a minute or two, Axl threw a hissy-fit because the only thing anyone would talk about that evening wasn't him, so he stormed off, leaving no one to perform for the sell-out crowd. I doubt anyone was mad at Metallica at the time, but the crowd got mad because they paid big money for a full concert and only got a small one when there was another group of performers fully capable of playing. The crowd rioted. I don't think anyone died, but many people got hurt and millions of dollars worth of damage was done. Would the crowd that saw Owen have rioted? We don't know, but McMahon could not take that chance. It sucks, and doesn't seem very respectful to Owen's family, but it was the only proper thing to do.
