Official Preview from WWE.com:
TV That's Changing Friday Nights September 9, 2005
Don't miss this new chapter in sports-entertainment when SmackDown moves to Friday nights starting this week. Friday Night SmackDown on UPN will be a special one-hour edition this week, beginning at 9 p.m. ET. The other hour will be viewable on WWE.com.
The inaugural Friday Night SmackDown on UPN has all the makings of being the biggest SmackDown in history with Batista defending the World Heavyweight Championship against JBL in a Bull Rope Match and Eddie Guerrero taking on Rey Mysterio in a Steel Cage Match.
Also on SmackDown, the WWE Tag Team Championship will be on the line when Heidenreich and Road Warrior Animal of the Legion of Doom take on former champions MNM.
Plus, Orlando Jordan, who has tapped out to Chris Benoit’s Crippler Crossface in less than 30 seconds the last two times they faced each other, will get another chance to win back the U.S. Championship he lost at SummerSlam.
Don't miss this truly epic evening this Friday on UPN.
And as always, no spoilers please.

Wow, tonight there will be more WRESTLING than skits on the show, this could be the first time this happened in a LOOOONG time. I'm gonna tape it since I'm going out. I think with about fifteen minutes the Eddie/Rey Cage match could deliver.

Oh nobody watches Smackdown anymore.
I tuned in to WWE.com (not remembering it was on SkySports 3 in UK) and when Teddy Long announced the three biggest matches in SD history and one of them was Benoit Vs Orlando Jordan and one other involved JBL - I knew I wouldn't be watching for long.

This has the potential to be the best Smackdown! of the year (well, that's not saying much).
Here are my hopes:
MNM over LOD Eddie over Rey Benoit over OJ Batista (sigh) over JBL (double sigh)

I'm gonna watch it now. I'd hate to have to miss any later when the flood of people get there.
Hey, I can fast-forward! I like this already!

Two hours to go until showtime!
What say we not mention the first hour until then at least to give folks a chance to view.

I didn't much like the first hour outside of Kennedy's segment with London. I was shocked that London got in as much offense as he did!
