As I've said before as well, I like the idea of resurrecting the Championship of Honor, and frankly, I think that there should be some kind of inherent rivalry between it and the Hardcore Championship. Since we don't have brands, I like the idea of a "Battle for Belt Supremacy" best of 3 series that could happen on the polar opposite of Gookermania to give it prestige. Who's with me on that idea? Like a best of three "Champion vs Champion" competition? One match under the "Honor" rules, one under hardcore rules, and a third under traditional rules? Or would there be three wrestlers from each "division" representing their title?

If the PPV is a little late tonight, that will be my fault. I had a busier-than-expected weekend and only got the Sparks vs Mr. Quintana Roo match sent in earlier today. Sorry!

Or would there be three wrestlers from each "division" representing their title? Yes, precisely The Hardcore Champion and Champion of Honor could face off in a Best of 3 Series. I think that the first two matches are determined by a coin toss: if the Hardcore Champion wins then the first match is a Hardcore Match while the second is a Match of Honor (or whatever you would call it). And yes, I think that the third match, which could be at the Pay Per View, would be traditional rules - a sort of "meeting it halfway" of sorts. Although you mentioning there being a third contestant makes things interesting. What if the Inter-Forum Champion was involved as well? That could make the match order even more uncertain and possibly more interesting.

Come to think of it, a Best of 5 would be better if the Inter-Forum Champion was involved, and furthermore, what if the winner of the series received a World Title shot?

I wouldnt mind a Hardcore vs Honor Title Match......we could do it every Gookermania with both belts being on the line the first week of September to make up for the fact of the 30 day rule.

If the Inter-Forum champion was involved wouldn't you need a fourth match on the chance there was a three way tie at the end?
I do like the idea of a best of three contest between the Hardcore and "TOH" Champions, especially if the guys involved tend to dislike the other style and don't have a lot of experience competing in it.

Yep, that's the concept, especially considering current storylines. But there's nothing that says that the champions themselves have to be enemies, they may be friends who have to compete as per booking. And every year alignment could be different. The Champion of Honor could be a heel one year and the Hardcore Champion a face while the next year the roles are reversed.

Oh, and that's why I earlier suggested that if the IF Champion was involved then it would work better as a best of 5 series.
I'm thinking that the winner could choose the next match type, but they couldn't use the same match type as the one that they won.
So if the Champion of Honor won in a Match of Honor then they couldn't make the next match a Match of Honor; it would have to be either a Hardcore Match or a Traditional Rules match.

Wouldn't it be better for the first match to be a regular singles match, then the winner of that match gets the advantage of having their match choice next (hardcore or honor) but if they then lose that fall, the final fall goes to the opponent's advantage.

The match has finally been finished. So blame me for how terrible it is.

This is my character's first "PPV" so I'm pretty anixous. But, was this thing supposed to happen last night or does "PPVs" usually happen whenever? Because if that's the case I screwed up with my last two promos as it's litered with the classic cliche "this sunday". lol

Not a bad idea - it lets the series start out neutral. Yeah... ye-yeah!
