Couple weeks ago on Smackdown he was interviewed and asked about beating OJ in less than 30 seconds. He corrected Josh Matthews, saying it was 25.5 seconds. And wondered what else he could do in 25.5 seconds, and that he loves competiting, even if it's with himself. He then asked for a split screen of him and the PPV match, and he successfully made coffee in 25.5 seconds! This week he was able to go to the bathroom in 23.4 seconds. He then went on to defeat OJ again... IN 23.4 SECONDS!!

yknow what would be great lol : josh:chris, congratulations, amazing win! chris: (visibly upset) i dont believe this! that was so humiliating! josh: chris...you beat orlando in 28 seconds. chris: not good enough josh! not nearly good enough! (punches the wall) look at this(shows a clip from the match) see! right there! i coulda had him in about 12 seconds!...i gotta train harder...somewhere along the line i lost a step...i gotta get it back man..i gotta get it back! then the next week they have a dramatic sit down interview with benoit, where he talks about how he has to put OJ away in under 10 seconds, or he will retire, or something like that. just make it really tongue in cheek, lol.

This could happen next week, he takes 30 seconds to beat OJ and is ashamed and dejected. Next week we see him training and watching tape after tape of OJ matches to learn his weaknesses... A huge stack of tapes with labels like OJ vs A-Train, OJ vs Holly #3, OJ vs Scotty 2 Hotty, and so on... Then you see his notes such as "-does stupid dance before punching" "-vulnerable when spelling out his initials in the air"

I bet Benoit's wife wishes he would quit trying to perform his husbandly duties in less than 30 seconds. I bet she also wishes he didn't have his match with OJ playing on a TV next to the bed for comparison purposes either. (I don't know if Benoit is actually married, but for the sake of this joke I had to take that liberty. )

There's so much more stuff Benoit can do with this gimmick. There's a lot of possiblities like he could wash his dishes, file a complaint to Vince's office about wanting another title shot, getting rid of those pesky grass stains on his tights in under 23 seconds.

Of course, if he keeps upping himself, he can beat OJ in three seconds, then the gimmick is over.

"TIME!!"
Hee hee.
I dig the sketches, but it's gotta come to an end eventually. What I like more is that they're finally selling him as a genuine threat to beat someone quick. I just hope he has some longer, more back and forth matches and don't drive this into the ground.
