I like reading these things. I'm the kind of guy who's not going to pick something up on a whim. I didn't get into it until I broke down and finally read foley's book in the library where I used to live, and I liked it so much, I bought it. I just ordered the second book, and had to reorder the Death of wcw (since someone stole my other book at the gym), Wrestlecrap was good (but I couldn't bring myself to read it again) and I'm wondering what else was good?
I read Kurt Angle's book in the library where I live now, good read too, and nice perspective on why they put the squash on the Stephanie angle.
Regal's book looks interesting.
Anyone read the hardys/edge/lita's books?
I flipped through Flair's book. Kind of self indulgent though. And a lot of his stories are before my time.
I don't like reading the unauthorized biographies like by people I never heard of or wrestling nerds like Scott keith or whoever wrote sex, lies, and headlocks.

I thought The Rock's was good.
I haven't read Austin's yet.

Read BOTH of Foley's. Now. They are the best wrestling-biographies out there.

Austin - Pretty good, kinda flighty and fast though. Doesn't touch on topics as deeply as Foley did. Most wrestling auto's don't, actually.
Rock's was good, although he kinda went into "Rock" mode at random times, which kinda got annoying.
Stay away from Chyna's book. Stay FAR away from Chyna's book, unless you really like hearing somebody talk about how much they hate everyone, and how the world can collectively kiss her ass.

Both of Foley's books are great.
But once you get through the first one (Have a Nice Day), the second one (Foley is Good) is a breeze.

My parents got me that one. They found it at a yard sale where they could shove as much crap into a box and pay 5 dollars for the box. So, really, it cost them about 20 cents. Pretty funny so far. I know it's not supposed to be, but she's so bitter and jaded that it makes me amused.

Hogan's book...it's...well...I don't really know how to describe it. I don't want to say that the things that he says are lies. A good number of them are, but, well...I dunno. Read with a bottle of salt on the table, that's all I'll say.

Get Piper's book....that's a laughfest even if he might be lying in some parts of it.

edge's book is pretty good. its mostly just his journal entries when he first started wrestling, so it only skims through his career, but when it gets into his memorable matches (TLC, cage matches, his feud with Angle, etc) it barely scratches the surface.
must read for an edge head (such as myself) but other than that, its not worth it.

I also bought Ted Dibiase's book...it's an ok read...but he's not that entertaining throughout the book and it gets stale about halfway through.

Definitely Foley's two. The Rock's is OK, but it's a skotch of a work. He lapses into character a few times. Chyna's book... Tripsy's book, by my husband's account, isn't half bad. Flair's is on my dining room table, awaiting reading. Ditto King's. Get a hold of Are We There Yet. It's a darn good read. Big Show's stories had me laughing my butt off.

Angles, both Foley's, Flair's, and Lawler's were good... If Flair's was before your time, then so is Lawlers...but both good reads...
Freddie Blassie's Book is excellent... but again, way before your time......
Hardy's was ok, not great...... Hogan's was ok too....
Chyna's was pretty lame. Except for the story about her boob exploding of course...

Foley's are the best wrestling (and two of the best overall) books I've read.
Is there a Bret or Owen one out?

Out of the booms I have most are pretty good.
Flairs - sure he might give himself more than enough props but its a good read Austins - Best book I've read(only because I cant find Foleys at my bookstores) Hogans - Good read, at times it was a little boring Rocks- To be honest with you I havent been able to finish it. Never really been a Rock fan so I guess thats why. Unscripted - Great book with stories about personal lives of WWE Superstars with some great photography
For now those are my wrestling books, I'm in the works of hunting down both Foleys, Edges, Lawlers, Blassies, Hardys, and both of RD's books. Man did I get some looks asking for Wrestlecrap. People in that book store were probably thinking I was totally Eugene
