So it's kind of ironic compared to the rest, since all you really need to do is break through a wall at the house and you're out of harm's way. so basically you're saying to use Bart Simpson's hedge maze cheat

Pretty much.
If you want to see something really scary, look for the Blue Lady at a restaurant in Half Moon Bay. It's only about an hour from San Jose.

Okay, the church of bones is completely awesome.
Prypiat would be an interesting tour just to see all the intricate details of it. Having studied the Chernobyl disaster, I know that the townspeople were told via loudspeakers to grab what they could carry (and that this was just a precaution) and we're loaded onto hundreds of buses just a few hours later and they left, never to return. They literally had to drop everything and leave. It's like a real life version of that History Channel series where they simulate if humans just vanished.
The suicide forest is by far the creepiest location on that list. Just turn one corner and BAM, dead body/skeleton. That's the kind of instant fear that horror movie junkies and directors dream of.

For those of you looking to visit the Winchester Mystery House, it's located just off of Highway 280 in a well-developed area (I'm from San Francisco and went to San Jose State University). There's also a strip club down the street. My point is, unlike all the other locations, the house itself is situated in a pretty safe and unscary area. So it's kind of ironic compared to the rest, since all you really need to do is break through a wall at the house and you're out of harm's way. Eh, the Scaryness isn't what I want to see. Hell, none of these places will scare me. They just look cool. Maybe I'm just a morbid SOB.

I'll believe you're a morbid SOB if you bring a dog to that bridge.

I probably would, just because I wouldn't believe that s*** is gonna happen (Kayfabe: I'm an insane Nekomata, I hate dogs!). I'll be nice and have it on a leash though, just incase.

If you really want to go crazy, just let a dog loose in the Winchester Mystery House.

If you really want to go crazy, just let a dog loose in the Winchester Mystery House. I'll call for him once, look down the hall, give him th count of five, walk out of the house, start the car, turn up the radio, and drive the f*** away.

I'd love to go to any of them. You? The tour guides would never get you out of the skeleton church.

Sadly about the Russian place though, the radation is so bad that you can only spend a few hours there. I don't know if any of you ever watch Destination Truth on Sy Fy channel, but that group went there a few weeks ago and looked for ghosts and had a bunch of weird shit happen. But it's dangerous to even be there and even harder to actually get past all the military checkpoints they have before you get to the actual town.

Out of all of these I find the bridge where dogs randomly commit suicide to be creepy as hell...specially considering that the author mentions that dogs that survive will stroll back up and jump all over again...People committing suicide because of a book is one thing but for dogs to just plunge to their death on their own accord for no reason scares the crap out of me

I'm very upset, that my Hometown's nightclub quarter didn't make the list.

Can't make it to any of these spots for Halloween this year, but at least we have a few spots in Northern Kentucky that I want to hit up if they're not too crowded. For anyone eitehr in the area or familiar with it, I do plan on trying to get in Bobby Macke's on Friday, but if not, any other suggestions?

The Winchester House is the really obvious inspiration for the Swamp Thing story "Ghost Dance", from the awesome Alan Moore run in the early 80s.
