Jesus..i never realized how close that suplex was to killing Orton, and the sick RKO that Orton put in to get a little back @ Kennedy. There was def a little something extra on that RKO That's not what what I noticed, although you're right. What I noticed was the lack of selling on the backdrop itself. I've heard a lot of people talk about how hard it is to sell in a situation like that, because you're not sure whether or not you're gonna be alright, and he bounced right up looking PISSED.

Am I the only one that thinks the main eventers all sound like wimps? Yeah, who doesn't want to take a chance with their health and body by trusting it with someone who has a reputation for clumsiness and botching moves ? Cowards. In comparison to what he posted the move that Orton is freaking out about is childs play.

comparing the back drop Orton took to ones others have taken is not really fair, IMO. People are different. Some people have survived air plane crashes while others have died while falling down a flight of stairs.

Did Steve Austin go and get Owen Hart fired when he broke Austin's neck with that piledriver in 1997? NO Did Droz try to get D'lo Brown fired when he paralyzed the guy with a running powerbomb? NO Did Orton try to get HHH fired when he broke Orton's collarbone by attempting to throw him over the ropes onto a set of upside down steel steps on the outside of the ring? NO Did you forget that Kennedy didn't even injure anybody? Sure, he got injured a lot, but he didn't injure anybody else. Unless you count the Lashley and Cena injuries (both of which happened in matches with Kennedy) but I don't see how Kennedy could've been responsible for either of those.

lol, yeah Orton should have tried to handle that better, if possible.
I understand guys at the top wanting to protect their bodies. I think it does take a little away from certain matches and that's why im not 100% high on Orton and Cena. I recently watched HBK/Angle @ WM 21 and it's ridiculous compared to what we're used to with the other 2. They were beating the living crap out of each other with every punch. Cena's been rumored to go easy on guys in the ring at times, and probaly expects the same in return. Orton's nice an safe in his 6 minutes of restholds.

No, he didn't injure anyone, but he came close a few times, and WWE didn't want to take the risk.

When that move first happened my actual thought was hey a WWE guy did a didn't suplex variant that's pretty cool, then Orton did that hole pop up I'm pissed off swipe at Kennedy thing and I started laughing thinking what a true professional he is right there.
Far worse bumps and botches have happened and I've never seen anyone have the reaction Orton did. You'd have thought the worst affront in the history of the business had just occured.

I want to know why if Kennedy supposedly had this rep for years of hurting people, being clumsy, botching this and that.. Why in his first match back in almost a year is he in the ring with top guys? Why was he consistently programmed in matches with top guys? Like I said before those 2 things together do not add up, like or hate Kennedy that in a nutshell is something that does not come across as accurate.

Am I the only one that thinks the main eventers all sound like wimps? I remember thinking the same thing back when they were all whining about RVD working too stiff. The guy was trained that way. He would be hit twice as hard by the Sheik if his forearms and kicks were too soft. That used to be the way things were done. Now granted, we don't need wrestlers that are going around injuring the other guys by screwing up moves, but slip-ups are going to happen. I'm not saying that Kennedy wasn't a sloppy worker, but the evidence that he was sounds pretty lackluster. I mean, his biggest screw up was the backdrop on Orton, and it didn't even look like it hurt that bad. For comparison purposes, I present to you: YOUTUBE The Kennedy/Orton backdrop: Dr. Death backdrop's Kenta Kobashi 3 times And just for a little more controversy. How about one of WWE's most experience wrestlers, William Regal. Here we can see Mr. Regal dropping...RANDY ORTON on right on his head. Just a little over a year ago Watch at 8:10 OK. I am not the biggest fan of Kennedy, but in watching those videos, I do see where he was coming from in the interview when he said that Orton "Jumped too hard" when it came to the belly to back. But I would like to point out a few things here. 1.) Orton also has a history of injuries, and granted while Orton has stayed injury free for the most part, he at one time was considered by many here in the IWC as being fragile. 2.) The 2nd video posted above is a bad example as I am sure most would agree that Kenta Kobashi is over 50 times tougher than Randy Orton, as Kenta took 3 of Doc's suplexes as close together as he did and was not using a ramp to access his house after the match. 3. Regal is a guy that has a reputation for working stiff... and as we all know that while smarks and the "boys" respect that, it does take more talent from a guy to work with someone that is as stiff as Regal... I say this because although it is easier to sell the move, it takes more effort to take the move. Orton has had and in my eyes still has that problem. For example Now... at the 53 second mark, you will see evidence of Orton not timing things quite right and Jericho nearly getting dropped on his head. This kind of thing is all over youtube, just look up Randy Orton Botch and more of this stuff is up there. Just thought I would point that out.

Its possible they didnt like the guy and were looking for ways to get rid of him. Its wouldnt be the first time this has ever happened at a place of work whether it be Home Depot or the WWE.

Yeah, that's why the idea of firing over botches bothers me. This is wrestling..these guys wrestle so much during the yr, this stuff WILL HAPPEN.Always have, always will. Unless a guy is UNBELIEVABLY unsafe to work with, it really bothers me when they get canned for that stuff, because sometimes you can't tell who's fault it is.

I'd rather them just say they didn't personally like him so they got him fired, that would be alot more logical than trying to paint him in this fashion.
Frankly Orton is no better as a worker than Kennedy is. He has less charisma, they've both gotten hurt a lot, Orton botches shit all the time and has consistent boring matches.
In many ways they aren't all that different from each other.

Same reason Koslov got pushed despite having no talent whatsoever. Check out this match, and tell me he's not clumsy (and look out for the increasingly pissed off face of HBK)

Yes I've seen that match.....I can go get all of Orton's botches and match that if you like.
Neither one of them is a very good worker to be honest here, which is why I think Orton freaking out or calling anyone a bad worker is the height of comedy.
Randy Orton calling someone a bad worker is like Vince Young saying someone is a bad QB.

I'm sorry but to whoever was shrugging off the dangerousness of messing up a body drop, didn't Misawa die from a botched back body drop?

Really? Orton is great in that match, and his catch of HBK, in particular, is very professional and well done.
I've also never seen an Orton match where is opponent got visibly pissed off at him. I've seen that a few times with Kennedy.

I just like that a day after almost killing Chris Jericho, Randy is still complaining about one botched suplex that happened almost three months ago.
Pot kettle black.

It wasn't the move persay it was the build up of taking thousands of them over his career. His neck was in horrible shape and just gave out. He shouldn't have been wrestling... And the suplex he took was worse than the one Orton took. If a guy who had a neck like Austin does today was wrestling and someone did that to him, then there is justifiable freakout.

Yea, I'm definitely not saying that Kennedy was a great worker or anything. I'm just saying that people make it sound like that suplex he did on Orton just about killed the guy or something.
And I definitely understand the problem with comparing Orton to Kenta Kobashi...which is why I also posted the sick bump that he took from Regal last year.
Kennedy may have been a bit sloppy in the ring, but his biggest problems were being too injury prone and getting caught lying about his past steroid use. My problem is that WWE didn't fire him for either of those things, they fired him after he hurt Orton with that suplex. I don't even know how that could've been blamed on Kennedy, as he would've had to jump just as high as Orton did to soften the impact from the move, and when do you ever see that?
