The big difference is Trish is a natural athlete, she played sports her entire life and even played in university. Kelly's not a athlete, sure she's flexable but she's no athlete. Gymnastics doesn't count? No it doesn't. Flexability does not equal a great athlete. Can you honestly picture Kelly being sucessful at any other sport.

You watch olympic women's gymnastics and think "They aren't great athletes"? There's a lot more to gymnastics than being flexible. They're quite strong too. In fact just about all of the attributes that would give someone an advantage in standard sports are things that gymnastics develop. After gymnastic training a participant will be able to run faster, jump higher, throw a ball further (where flexibility comes in), and just stronger muscles in general. Don't get why you'd think they aren't good athletes.

I'm sure in an another life, It's "Barbie Blank of Love." Well, JR is pretty good about these things, and odds are, she is in line for a push soon, if Christian is any indication.
Hey, does anyone else thing a Tag Team between Layla and Melina called "Contest Winners" is a great idea?

I like the Lita/Gail Kim comparison. And I'll go even further and be more controversial. The next Trish Stratus? Eve Torres. Yes. You heard it here first. Eve Torres has a certain class and dignity that few diva's have at the moment. She is also a natural beauty. But most important, she has improved a lot in the ring, in a very short time. Just compare this match, that is allright but nothing special. With this one. Some nice moves, a really nice finisher by Eve and some good selling on her part. But let's not forget Layla either, she has really improved and feels comfortable in the ring. But Eve has 'it'. She has talent and potential and she takes this really seriously. She started training Brazilian Jiu-Jiutsi, I think she even started with the Gracie Academy, but I'm not sure. But she is serious about pro-wrestling and it shows. Candice was serious as well but it didn't show. At least not this fast. Eve can take bumps and learns from her mistakes. I'm really curious about what she'll be like in a year. How much she has improved. If she keeps on going like this, she is at Stratus-level in about 3 years. Totally agreed, I thought this after her match with Cryme Tyme against THD. She's improved so much in the ring, where I would consider her one of the better female wrestlers in WWE right now. As well as being Naturally charismatic and really pretty, I think she's the total package as far as Divas go. She has the potential to be "Stratus-Like" more than anyone on the current roster.

Out of all the "new crop" of divas, I'd say she's got the best chance out of any of them to be a major success. But I'd have to say she's at least a few years off from reaching that level. At the rate she's improving herself ring-wise (her actual character and personality is the other big obstacle, but that takes time more than anything else), she shouldn't have much trouble being a major success later on in time though.

I am probably not going to add anything new, but I will add my input anyway. As far as in-ring talent is concerned Gail Kim is better than Trish Stratus. However in the charisma department, Trish Stratus is leaps and bounds better than Gail Kim. Overall I would say that Gail Kim needs charisma surgery to be considered another Trish Stratus. The only female I can picture being another Trish Stratus is Mickie James.

Until the Divas head line a Raw, there will never be 2 woman as over as Trish and Lita in that order.

I don't think any diva can reach Stratus like levels in the PG era. The thing to keep in mind is that when Trish was around, she wasn't out there just wrestling. She was also out there weekly strutting around in a thong for bra-and-panties matches, bikini contests, spanking other divas in "paddle-on-a-pole" matches, etc. In other words Trish didn't get anywhere near as over as she did by being a good wrestler. Her wrestling skills (which were about average) got her some fan admiration, but it was her overt sexual presence that REALLY got the fans to fall in love with her.
And to clarify, I do like women's wrestling. I love it when women just go out there and wrestle. I loved when Gail did that in TNA. My point though is that the masses don't feel that way. In order for a diva to get as over as Trish, she's gonna have to do a lot more than just wrestle.

Too Asian. Seriously, she's not blonde enough to achieve Trish like levels of popularity I'm afraid. She doesn't the Barbie look that seems to be held up as the beauty standard. Don't believe me? Guess who was voted top in a poll I recently saw of the current divas. It doesnt get more generic then that...

The only way Gail will be Trish like is if she starts to bang a top star.
I do agree with Eve being the next big female star

Atleast they arent bleach blonde... There are more Brunettes in WWE than Blondes anyway The crop of brunettes (save for the Bellas, obviously) are a bit more unique-looking to me, individually. I've seen a lot more women who look like Kelly, Maryse or Michelle McCool than I see women who look like Mickie, Layla or Melina. On the other hand, where I live, we've got a disproportionate number of bleach blondes, many of them indeed generic.
