Does anybody else agree that the Austin/McMahon segment on Raw was retundant and lame ?

I hated the showing of clips, took up way too much time especially when I'd just seen those very clips yesterday. He rambled on with Linda too long as well. So if you join it in progress then watch in fast motion... it would be somewhat entertaining.

it certainly dragged on. I suppose McMahon figured that people wanted to see Austin stun McMahon. It was great in 1998. It was ok in 2001. It was tiresome in 2005

Yes, the Austin/McMahon segment went on for way longer than it should have. We all knew exactly how it would end.... Austin giving everyone a stunner and drinking beer. Which is a fine ending... but we didn't need 25 minutes to build to that climax!

Sure it did....just like HHH needed all that time to beat Flair's ass.
Bottom line, several things on that show could have been pared down.....it seemed like it was just long for long's sake....

It was probably the only time ever that I felt a Hogan segment was TOO SHORT.

They had to justify three hours of programming. Though I'd have much more appreciated a few more matches.
Nostalgia is fun, but not all the time.

It was pretty awesome when Shane came out, though. I marked out.

I would've liked to have seen five minutes shaved off the Austin segment and added to the Hardy/Edge match.

It was an entertaining segment but I'll have to agree it took WAY too long...and it's just not fun to watch Austin in a non wrestling role...

For sure went on too long, though like someone else said, seeing Shane again was a welcome suprise. Of course, him being the only MacMahon not given talking time was pretty annoying...

I saw that whole segment as a cartoon version of the Austin/McMahon feud.

Hogan didn't need to be out there at all. That was totally pointless.

the whole family should have been done the Shane way, you come in, you go out, end.

the whole family should have been done the Shane way, you come in, you go out, end. I think we'd all be better of if we "did it the Shane way." It's not your way. It's not their way. It's not even the Con Way...

The whole segment was crap. They could have just ended it with Vince getting the stunner, then had the Hardy/Edge match go longer and have a better ending. I thought the end of the Angle/Michaels match was crap, too. Should have gone to sudden death. Overall, I was kind of disappointed in the show.

the thing is..that all Austin does now..walk out..hand out stunners to anyone he sees and leaves, its really getting tiresome in general.
Piper Pit at WM 21 was a classic case.i knew beforehand that he was gonna do it to piper..even though they both ganged up on Carlito.
its tiresome, its the same old crap, sooner or later..no-one will care, its like "surely there can't still be THAT much anger and hatred between Vince and SCSA after all these years, surely thats been exhausted over the years" from a real AND storyline point of view
