Really tough list this week, I could have easily done 30.....here's some clues...
5 matches from the 90's 5 from this decade
2002 has 2 matches
6 title matches
4 Ladder Matches, 5 matches that involve a ladder
The faces dominate the heels, 7 wins to 3
19 wrestlers appear in all
5 guys appear twice, they are....
An ex chef An ex Evolution member A current MEM Member A current Champion on Smackdown! A guy who failed to show up on RAW
3 of them win both their matches, but interestingly nobody wins both by pinfall, in fact just 1 pin fall appears, by the chef guy.
NO Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, Brock Lesnar, Kane, McMahons, Ultimate Warrior, British Bulldog, Randy Savage, Batista, Ric Flair, Randy Orton or Rob Van Dam

This just crossed my mind as I made breakfast, but I think this is one to get excited for.
In December we will do our year end wrap up lists. Feud of the year, match, wrestler, so on. Just like it was done a year ago, same format.
However, once we reach January I'm pulling out something special. We will do a similar four lists immediately after, counting down the top ___ matches, feuds, wrestlers, and moments of the DECADE.
Sound fun?

That'll be a classic, MGH. Hard as hell to do, though. I better start brainstorming those lists now.

This is a list i have BE WAITING FOR! Loved making this one! Here is my break down
Mr. Wrestlemania makes 3 appearances, Mr. Summer Slam has 3 as well, Edge 2, Angle 2, and appearances by a Deadman, a Rattlesnake, a Perfect man, an Outsider, a Bulldog, a man who should lead the 2010 Hall of Fame, and the current heavy weight Champ in UFC.
List runs from 91 to 08
Lots of gimmick matches
These classics didn't make the cut: Bret vs Taker, Rock vs Triple H Ladder Match, HBK vs Hogan, Benoit vs Orton, Bret vs Lawlor, Cena vs Orton, Warrior vs Savage, Rey vs Angle, Batista vs Cena, Austin vs Taker, Test vs Shane, Boiler Room Brawl, HBK vs The Model, the Perfect Man, The Boss and his son or in Chamber!
1. The AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING return of the all time greatest wrestler 2. THIS is how a cage match SHOULD BE DONE! 5 Stars from Meltzer 3. Hometown Hero takes the gold 4. JUST A slight notch below there 5 Star WM classic 5. My favourite gimmick match, feature two of my top 10 of all time wrestlers, one of which goes to hell! 6. The first of it's kind, later perfected at WM 7. Two men who have been arrested for the same thing put on an amazing show 8. The start of the Excellence 9. The 1996 wrestler of the year switches his style for this underrated gem. 10. THe most underrated in the triogoly of classics these two had.

I will say the one match that killed me to leave off the most was the Undertaker/Edge HIAC. My favorite match type featuring two of my all-time favorites, and it was a match that lived up to what I would have imagined from those two, but I just didn't feel right putting it over the rest of my list. Great match though, and I'm interested to see where it will land.
They'll be hell to put together, but the decade lists sound awesome.

One thing I noticed when looking at the old Summerslam posters - Summerslam was held on a Monday night until 1995.

I wasn't guilty about leaving it off at all, its incredibly overrated imo. Good match no doubt but not great. Plus there's at least 10 or so matches I left off that I enjoyed more.

Edge/Taker is not on my list as well. Two things against it for me in my opinion: its a glorified TLC match in a cage, and pretty much no blood. I'm sorry, but its still an overrated match, and I just saw it again.
Anyways, as for my list: - Only #10 and #2 are non-title matches of any kind. - Bret Hart, as per the norm, dominates the list with 4 matches - A whole bunch of people have two matches, including HBK, Undertaker, Stone Cold, and Kurt Angle. All others nominated are in one match. - WWE title matches lead the kinds with 4 matches, but none list higher than 5th. - The best opener in 'Slam history is appropriately #10 - Two IC title matches rank #1 and #3 - Only two matches have blood, while one is EXTREMELY hardcore without it.
And check back Saturday to see what matches they are!

A few hints:
* The same wrestler is in my top three. * 4 matches involving ladders. * Two appearances each from HHH, The Rock, Edge, Jeff Hardy and HBK * No Austin, surprisingly.
