I have to say I voted Wrestlefest, something about making Jake Roberts and Mr.Perfect tag team champs that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

I loved HCTP, but my vote has to go for No Mercy. Although, if it were an option I would have voted WM 2K. But the N64 THQ WWF games were AMAZING, the pinnacle of wrestling games in my opinion

Smackdown! Shut Your Mouth. Probably the best roster in any wrestling game, fast arcade style gameplay but tonnes of depth to it, a great story mode. Easily the best wrestling game ever.
A close second would be WCW vs nWo: World Tour. Similar gameplay to WCW Revenge, No Mercy, etc but simpler, low on options but has some great tournament modes. It's hard to explain why I love this game so much. To me, the only thing stopping it from being better than SD! SYM is the lack of Chris Jericho.

SmackDown vs. RAW 2010...Yeah I said it!
And the lack of Day of Reckoning 2 on this list disturbs me.

I voted No Mercy because of the roster/available moves/gameplay. But what makes HCTP good (at least to me) is the ladder/TLC matches.

I'd have to say it's a toss-up between WCW/nWo World Tour, WCW/nWo Revenge, WrestleMania 2000, and No Mercy.
What's really sad is that we've never had a wrestling game since that even comes close to those four AKI games. I've resorted to playing simulation text games like EWR to get my fix, but damn if I don't want to play a newer entry in that classic string of games.
Why can't THQ be bothered to emulate AKI's game engine? I want it, you know want it, the whole world wants it.

No love for this? :
I mean, it was state of the art for 1987. It even comes with its own "Don't Try This At Home" PSA.

Loved No Mercy so that gets my vote ahead of Here Comes the Pain. Never played WCW/NWO Revenge though. May pick it up cheap and see what all the fuss is about.

Wrestlefest and WWF Superstars will always remain dear to me. Are other games better, more complete? Perhaps, but the simple beauty of these games cannot be denied.

I'd go for here comes the pain.
I can climb up the fist on the smackdown stage.
And Steph's in it and controllable. (Hope i'm right.)

The intro to Revenge was so money. Sting in front of the 18-wheeler driven by Piper. pipers driving? ? nah no way is that supposed to be piper! it looks nothing like him! or him in the game!
