Holy crap.
I honestly don't know what to say, other than that Jeff has a problem and he needs to get help. He should take up the WWE on their general rehab offer.
I think we may never see him in the WWE again after this, which is a shame given his obvious talent.

Well, I'm sure this will be the wake up call Jeff needs, and he realises that he's doing nothing but hurting the people who care about him and letting his fans down... You know, just like last time. D'oh. He told JR way back when that he didn't need rehab, and wouldn't go. That was why they terminated his contract back in 2003. What a wise man that young Jeffrey Hardy is.

I don't have any facepalm gifs handy, but you get the idea.
That's just f***ing great. The timing was impeccable as if this was a few weeks earlier it would've been a bigger shitstorm than it is.

My heart is as broken as it could be about someone I've never met. He had the world....such a waste. I pray he goes to rehab (if he doesn't go right to prison) & gets away from those who might be enabling him, (basically start a new life and STAY ALIVE for crying out loud).
...I also wonder who gave him up-to my knowledge, big cases like this are usually put together from someone who's undercover (undercover for a long time), or a 'friend' of the person being investigated.
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, on my lunch break on an already crap day.
simply heartbreaking.

He got hit with a trafficking charge. Is that based soley on the amount of stuff he has in his possession? Or, do they have some evidence he was in fact going to sell the stuff? Hopefully he has some legit Rx's for some of that stuff he can show the cops....otherwise he's screwed. It could be the number of pills, or it could be that they found cocaine residue on paraphenalia. If it was the kind of paraphenalia used for distribution, then that's where the distribution charge is coming from. Plus, you know, more than half a liter of steroids. That's like a soda bottle.

Sure they do! ...100+ years ago anyway. Obviously not on the cocaine, sorry I didn't explain that out fully. I'm talking mainly about the pills and anabolic steroids. I mean....you can have legit Rx's for those obviously. You get the mass quantities like that by: - getting from multiple doctors - getting larger Rx's....by that I mean for example: "take this pill 3x daily for 90 days" that would give you 270 pills right there. And yes some doctors will prescribe pills for that length and in those quantities as it is often cheaper for the patient to buy them that way after insurance (assuming they have insurance). Just like everything else: buying in bulk is cheaper.

First off WWE caught a HUGE break by Jeff not resigning.
Now about Jeff, he needs help, but he didn't get it before and I'm guessing he won't get it now. Maybe going to jail would help and with his history, I would think he is going to jail even if it just for a couple of months.

He got hit with a trafficking charge. Is that based soley on the amount of stuff he has in his possession? Or, do they have some evidence he was in fact going to sell the stuff? If you are in possession of a certain amount of a controlled substance above and beyond what is considered normal for "personal use", you are usually also charged with some variant of "intent to distribute". For instance, if you're caught with an ounce of marijuana on you, you're probably going to face a fine at most in most areas. (And even that is becoming increasingly uncommon). However, if you're found with 3 pounds of marijuana in your possession, you're going to get "intent to distribute" tacked on to that, and are probably going to go away for a long, long time. The same thing applies here. He was caught with so many pills, it's reasonable to assume it's not all for personal use and the likelihood he was dealing as well is significant. And there's also the cocaine thing. Don't know how much was in his possession, but that alone could be enough to put Hardy behind bars for the foreseeable future. If he's found guilty of the charges against him, not only is his career completely over, but his freedom is very much in jeopardy as well. He very easily could be going to jail for several years or even a decade. Looking down the road, I considered him a lock for the HOF. Even *that* could be in jeopardy, especially if the WWE ends up taking some of the fallout from this. I very highly doubt he's got legitimate prescriptions for the amount of pills they found. And there's also the coke. ------ That all being said, this doesn't look good for anybody involved. A lot of people are going to take a hit for this. Jeff, for obvious reasons. He's probably going to end up in jail for several years, and his career is now dead in the water. I absolutely cannot see the WWE bringing him back in the foreseeable future, even if he does somehow avoid jail. The WWE doesn't look good either. Many have questioned the validity and effectiveness of the WWE Wellness program. They just lost one of their top stars to wellness issues, even if under questionable circumstances. Now the biggest star the WWE has produced since Austin and the Rock leaves the company and gets busted for drug trafficking less than a month later. This makes the policy look like an absolute joke in the eyes of the general public, and could put them right back at or near square one in terms of PR. I could even see Matt taking a hit for this. Along with the personal/family issues that Matt now has to deal with, the WWE may very well want to distance themselves from all things Hardy for the time being. In most workplaces I've been in, if one family member is fired or does something wrong, the rest of the family ends up under at least some level of higher scrutiny, either officially or unofficially. I could see the same thing happening here, as the WWE may not want to push someone who has such close ties to Jeff Hardy. It saddens me to say this, as a die-hard Hardy fan, but even if he does somehow avoid jail time, there is no way in hell the WWE should hire him back, as he just proved that he cannot be trusted. Can you imagine if this had happened last month?

De-lurking to say that the article highlights the fact the pills were prescription. However, if he was under investigation he very well might've been selling them or intending to.

Unless this turns out to be some big misunderstanding in the style of Three's Company, Jeff's wrestling career is over. No major wrestling promotion is gonna take a chance on him, especially after the WWE gave him many chances. The term "wasted potential" should have Jeff Hardy's picture attached to it.

As far as I know, Matt's never been even slightly linked with drugs, and has worked his arse off solidly, even whist injured. He was fired over the whole Edge/Lita mess, but other than that, he's been a loyal, dedicated, hard working guy for over a decade. Hopefully the WWE will be capable of taking the high road, and not either punishing him for his brother's mistakes, or covering their own arses by pushing him down the card.
