The term is thrown around in a very cavalier fashion, until there's a danger that it loses its meaning.
Which is why videos like this need to be posted periodically to remind us just what a BURIAL really is.

The "word" at the time was that Vince had finally figured out that Shannon Moore was probably never being groomed for the TNA main event after all. (Supposedly, Moore's wife had convinced someone in the WWE that hiring Moore would have been a great coup while sabotaging TNA's plans) So this was, if you believe all that, a way of cutting his legs out from under him before sending him packing soon afterwards. Moore was around for quite a while after this though. When was this promo? mid-2006... I went to a house show in early-2008 where Moore and Jimmy Wang Yang were in a tag. Yeah, this promo happened in 2006, after Moore's ridiculous run over in TNA. I barely forgot it even happened.

Of course, what makes it a bit of a burial isn't the slap itself, it's Moore's pathetic whiny reaction to it. No anger, no fight back, just "ooooow my nose hurts "

I don't get it. At all. It's kind of a small horse, I mean what am I missing? Am I crazy?

I thought it was because he went loco at a house show after/while getting either a boring chant or just booed while a face, getting on the mic and telling the people there that, "I am not here to impress the internet"

I thought it was because he went loco at a house show after/while getting either a boring chant or just booed while a face, getting on the mic and telling the people there that, "I am not here to impress the internet" Here's the report: Credit: Wrestling Observer Newsletter At the 8/1 ECW show, Shannon Moore caused Vince McMahon to lose his cool. Shannon wrestled C.W. Anderson in a non-televised match and the crowd quickly turned on him. McMahon felt Moore cracked under the pressure of the crowd turning on him. After Moore debuted to a terrible response, and from most accounts, with a lackluster performance, he grabbed the mic and said, "I'm not here to impress the internet." Mid-match, McMahon made the call for CW Anderson to defeat Shannon Moore. He also ordered the two wrestlers to switch roles - Anderson was ordered to wrestle as a babyface and Moore was ordered to wrestle as a heel. Also, the original finished called for Moore to pin Anderson. After several weeks of taped vignettes, Shannon Moore was in line for a push under his "Reject" gimmick. The vignettes came to a halt at last Tuesday's show as a vignette was not shown for the first time in several weeks not to mention that his name was not even mentioned during the show. For the time being, it looks like his planned push is in jeopardy.

I always hate that report.
How stupid was Vince to think the reject would have been a babyface? It was not a good idea. That's why I kind of doubt it.

The Reject might have had potential as a heel....but as a babyface no way

The way how he was, I couldn't see fans getting behind it or him being a heel that would be credible,IMO.
