By this, I'm meaning people who joined after Bischoff revealed that he was nWo, and delivered his ultimatum.
I'm a big fan of Buff Bagwell in the nWo - it was the role he was born to play. Sure, he was an egotistical jerk, but he did such a great job with it.

I always liked Scott Norton in the group.

The only reason I liked VK Wallstreet in the group was that Dibiase talked him into it one night on Nitro.

SCOTT. STEINER.
I only say this because being part of the nWo MADE him as a singles star.

In the early days, it made sense for any former major WWF stars to join, since it furthered the idea that the WWF was attempting a takeover.
But since we're going from after Bischoff revealed the master plan, that's a bit tougher to answer.
From a "makes sense" standpoint, maybe Buff is the answer; he fit the bill as a disgruntled WCW guy who felt he could achieve much more in the nWo.
Steiner was a good fit, but his initial turn didn't make much sense, given how long the Steiners had been feuding with the Outsiders.
Out of who I marked for, I was always a big Scott Norton fan. I think I just bought him as a tough guy.

For what it's worth, back in the day I knew a guy who was CONVINCED that Vincent (aka Virgil) was a spectacular ring technican with great "ring awareness".
So for that reason, I vote for Vincent.

The group was that big they had just as many members who made scense as those who didn't outside the core mebmers. It's just the fact that they were all filler and lower to mid carders who were doing nothing and that's not what NWO was about the NWO was the best and biggest names in wrestling trying to take over WCW.

See, while I'll grant you I hadn't been watching from the get-go with the nWo, I never viewed them as an "elite" faction made up of only a few members.
I always thought they were meant to be an invading army, and while they went too far in diluting their talent pool by adding so many members, I never had a problem with it being more of an army than a small, "elite" group.

I never, never saw anything interesting about Scott Norton.
Things were great for Scott Steiner and Buff Bagwell though.

I'm confused on whether or not Bret Hart made sense.
He hated Vince, but then again he has some motives I guess.

That was a horrible waste and I am not even a Bagwell fan. He could have been a huge face and rallying point for WCW and, (re)turned later making it better, IMO.

Same here I always figured that since they were trying to take over WCW they'd want to have as many guys as they can and with guys like Vincent and Bubba you have grunts around to get their asses kicked. What killed it for me was when it seemed like everybody and his mother was doing an nWo.

Fake Sting.
Yeah, I said it. They couldn't get Sting, so they brought in a phony.
Edit: Oh wait, that was before Bischoff's membership drive in late-November. I'll say Scott Norton then.
