Okay, as challenging as it may be, I am going to attempt to book a show that would reflect real life situations, meaning noone from TNA, as the event would most likely be WWE-based, and I doubt TNA would want any of their guys on the show. This show would coincide with the release of the "rise and fall of WCW" dvd scheduled later on in the year.
The event would be held in the Philips arena (the former Omni) in Atlanta. There would be no WWE-WCW storylines ala One night stand, it would just be a straight up, one shot deal to give WCW the proper sendoff. It would be a PPV consisting of 7 matches.
The announce team for the evening would be Tony Shiavone and Jim Ross, the ring announcer would be Gary Michael Cappeta, and Gene Okerlund would be on interviews.
You could open the show with a montage of classic WCW moments from over the years, bringing us to today, where the arena is set up with the old Monday Nitro set, except "Nitro" is replaced with "WCW One night stand". Ross and Shiavone could hype up the show by talking about the legendary feuds and moments from WCW history. They can mention the cruiserweight division, and how WCW was the first US fed to introduce the cruiserweights from around the world, and the cutting edge high flying action. Another montage (on the cruisers) leads us to our first match...
4 corner crusierweight elimination match Rey Mysterio Jr. vs. "Goofy again for one night" Lionheart Chris Jericho w/Ralphus vs. Dean Malenko vs. Ultimo Dragon.
Im sure this would be a hot opener, and I have no doubt Malenko could still go, if not one more time. I would even put Malenko over in the end, tapping Jericho with the cloverleaf to give the "Iceman" a proper sendoff.
Our next montage highlights 2 former world champions, Vader and Ron Simmons, leading us to...
"All American" Ron Simmons w/Teddy long vs. Big Van Vader w/Harley Race.
Just bill it as two former world champs stiffing the hell out of each other, what not to love right? I would give Simmons the win with a spinebuster after Race interference backfires.
Another video package highlights the NWO, which leads us to the arena and that familiar NWO music. Representing the NWO tonight are "Hollywood" Hogan, Eric Bischoff (if he is willing), The Giant, and Scott Hall (if willing and sober). They come to the ring and cut a tweener promo, playing to the fans but also mentioning how they set out to destroy WCW, and they promise to do so in tonight's main event.
Our next video package hilights the tag team division. I suppose it would be hard to omit teams that are not able to make the show due to contracts, but hey we have to work with what we got. This leads us to...
6-man tag team match The Fabulous Freebirds of Michael "PS" Hayes, Jimmy "Jam" Garvin, and Ray "Jesse" Gordy, representing for his father tonight vs. The Midnight Express of Stan Lane, Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey.
Not sure what shape these guys are in, but what the hell it's for nostalgia purposes.
Our next video hilights the fallen heros of WCW.
We go to the entrance ramp and Mean Gene, who introduces "Nature boy" Ric Flair. These 2 are always great together, and flair puts over the company history, and says he is coming out of retirement for one night only, just because it's WCW, and tonight he will face Ricky "the dragon" Steamboat.
We cut to the back where there is a WCW hardcore brawl going on, featuring Meng, Finlay, The Barbarian, Crowbar, Brian Knobs, Vito, "Screamin" Norman Smiley, and TERRY FUNK! Book it any way you want, as long as Norman does the "big wiggle" and Funk moonsaults someone through a table.
We go back to the announcers who talk about what has happened so far, and hype what is to come in the "greatest night in the history of our sport". They are cut off by Lance Storm in ring. If he can be serious for a minute, Lance Storm is here to demand the proper respect for all his contributions to WCW, being the first and only triple crown champion. He says the company went out of business because he was not propelled to the main event, and he blames America. He starts to cut a pro-Canada, anti-America promo, only to be interupted by SID VICIOUS! This leads to our next match, with Sid squasing Lance in about a minute, and taking what would most likely be his last hurrah in the ring.
Another video hilights the Steamboat-Flair feud leading us to...
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat vs. "Nature boy" Ric Flair.
Flair is accompanied by Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard, and J.J. Dillion. Steamboat is accompanied by Dusty Rhodes, and Magnum T.A. I am sure even at their age, these guys could pull out a 30 plus minute 4 star classic with a lot of mat based wrestling. I would put Flair over in the end.
Another video hilights the NWO-WCW feud over the years, leading us to the ring and Announcer Michael Buffer.
Main event tag team match Team NWO- "Hollywood" Hogan and Scott Hall w/Bischoff and Giant vs. Team WCW Goldberg and Diamond Dallas Page.
I would have some back and forth with team NWO getting the advantage on Page, who gets worked over most of the match, before getting the hot tag to Goldberg. Goldberg cleans house, even disposing of the NWO scrubs (Wallstreet, Disciple, Vincent) who attempt to interfere. Goldberg pins Hogan with a jackhammer to end it, as all the former NWA/WCW stars come out to celebrate with the purple WCW flag to pyro to end the show. Our last video is a retrospect of the NWA/WCW years up to tonight, with the WCW logo showing on screen and fading to black.
That folks is your WCW one night stand.

An intro video of WCW's greatest moments and wrestlers is shown.
We come to you live from a sold-out Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia as Slim Jim presents: WCW One Night Stand!!! Jim Ross, Mike Tenay, and Larry Zbyszko are your announcers for the evening.
The WCW Nitro music hits, as Gary Michael Capetta introduces the participants of the Alumni Battle Royal while they enter the ring, with the announcers talking about how the winner will face Goldberg immediately following the match.
*20-Man Alumni Battle Royal* (winner faces Goldberg) Participants include One Man Gang, Alex Wright, Buff Bagwell, Disco Inferno, Hacksaw Duggan, Bobby Eaton, Finlay, Glacier, Meng, Brian Knobbs, Jerry Sags, Scott Norton, Chuck Palumbo, Ron Simmons, Lord Steven Regal, 2 Cold Scorpio, Barbarian, Sid Vicious, Bunkhouse Buck, and Hugh Morrus.
This is your standard battle royal, with most entrants being eliminated quickly. One Man Gang, Finlay, Meng and Sid Vicious are the final four in the ring. Meng, Finlay and Sid team up to eliminate the Gang, and Finlay eliminates Meng immediately after. We are down to Finlay and Sid Vicious. Sid brutally pounds away at the Irishman, nearly eliminating him twice, and as the crowd slowly gets behind him, Finlay begins a comeback. Finlay valiantly fights to eliminate Sid, but is eliminated hastily. Sid Vicious is your winner around the ten-minute mark. He has very little time to celebrate- the familiar strains of Goldberg's music hits, and the "GOLLLLLLD-BERG" chants soon follow.. Goldberg makes his entrance through the fireworks and looks like a man posessed.
Sid Vicious vs. Goldberg
Goldberg enters the ring, fends off Sid's attack, and spears him. The crowd is deafeningly loud as Goldberg picks up Sid for the Jackhammer, soundly defeating him in under two minutes.
As Goldberg makes his way up aisle to the back, we are shown a short clip of Goldberg highlights, including a blazingly fast summary of "The Streak".
We are shown a short promo for an inflatable WCW One Night Stand chair, only $69.99! Limited time only.
Next, we see short pre-taped interviews from each of the four teams in the upcoming Four-Way Tag: ----The Canadian Bulldogs are shown with the Neidharts, and the Anvil talks about their family being superior to all others in the history of the business, and that tonight, their opponents are going to get an old fashioned Hart Dungeon wrestling lesson. ----The Rhodes Family is shown. The two brothers each cut a concise promo, with Dusty finishing up by saying that "NOT ONLAYY ihhhhs evrythaaang BIGGAH in Texasth, iths bettah too." ----The Fabulous Freebirds are shown in their unique "confederate flag/80's hair metal band" get-up, with Buddy Roberts as their manager behind them. Michael Hayes talks about his "brother", Terry "Bamm Bamm" Gordy, his son Jesse Ray, and how tonight, the Freebirds will soar once again. ----We see a close-up of a large amount of hundred-dollar bills being counted by Virgil's hands. The camera pans out as the Million Dollar Man gloats about the DiBiase fortune, stating that "EVERYBODY'S got a price." Ted Jr. ends by saying "not only is (his) family filthy rich with worldly posessions and a history in the business, (they're) the best still today, and that....is priceless."
*Four Way Tag Match* Calgary Bulldogs (TJ Wilson & DH Smith [w/ Jim Neidhart & Natalya]) vs. The Rhodes Family (Dustin & Cody Rhodes [w/ Dusty Rhodes]) vs. The Fabulous Freebirds (Michael "P.S." Hayes & Jesse Ray Gordy [w/ Buddy Roberts]) vs. Priceless, Inc. (Ted Dibiase Jr. & "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase [w/ his bodyguard Virgil])
We cut back to ringside. The Hart and Rhodes families are in the ring as the Freebirds make their way out to "Badstreet, U.S.A.". Priceless, Inc. enters to a mashed-up version of "Priceless" and the Million Dollar Man's theme, accompanied by Virgil, who is carrying a metal breifcase. JR, Mike Tenay and Larry Zbyszko give a short run-down of the heritage of these families in WCW as well as throughout the business as the match begins.
DH Smith and Dustin Rhodes start. The pace is quick and the tags are fast between the teams, with DH Smith eliminating the Rhodes brothers after hitting Cody with a running powerslam and a diving elbow from the second rope from Wilson. Michael Hayes comes in to fight Smith, pausing first to do the moonwalk. Smith tags Wilson, who beats on Hayes until he tags Gordy. The referee disqualifies the Canadian Bulldogs after repeated interference by Natalya and Jim Neidhart. We are down to the Freebirds and Priceless, Inc! Hayes and the Million Dollar Man fight it out and are both down, crawling towards their corners to tag their partners. Hayes gets the hot tag to Gordy as Ted Jr. comes in. Gordy enters the ring and immediately begins stomping away on Michael Hayes, with both DiBiase's and Virgil joining in!!! Your winners of the match at 15:22 by disqualification are the Freebirds. Gordy leaves the ring with the DiBiase's and Virgil, with all four holding stacks of money in their hands and laughing like maniacs..
We are shown a video tribute to those from WCW's history who are no longer with us. After the video is over, the camera shows a crowd giving a standing ovation for what they have seen. The annoucers tell us it's time for our next match.
Joe Hennig (w/ Larry "The Axe" Hennig) vs. Richie Steamboat (w/ Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat)
The two newcomers make their entrances- Joe with his grandfather and Richie with his father, "The Dragon". The match that is back and forth the entire way, with Steamboat getting the win after a flying cross-body at the 15-minute mark. The two shake hands and exit the ring with their elders, with Jim Ross remarking that the two are "sure to have many more great matches in the future."
Mike Tenay stresses that this next contest is certainly not going to be "PG", or for the weak of heart, and JR says "put the missus and kids to bed, Katy bar the door, because business is about to pick up." A short highlight package is shown of the infamous Dog Collar Match between Roddy Piper and Greg Valentine from Starrcade '83.
*Dog Collar Match II* "Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine
Greg Valentine is already in the ring as Roddy Piper enters with the dog collar already around his neck. The announcers remark that the collar is the same one used in the first match back in 1983, and how violent the contest was. The two are latched together and we see the bloodiest, most ruthless match in recent history, perhaps since their first legendary encounter. Piper falls on top of Valentine after hitting him with the chain at the 20-minute mark. Both men are stretchered out, but end up getting off the stretchers halfway up the aisle and brawl to the back, leaving a huge bloody imprint of Greg Valentine's face on the giant metal "W" of the WCW letters on the entrance ramp.
The announcers tell us it's not quite over just yet. A video of Cactus Jack and Vader is shown, highlighting Cactus losing 2/3 of his ear in a match in Germany against Vader.
*Special "Revenge" Match* Cactus Jack vs. Big Van Vader (w/ Harley Race)
Vader, with his manager Harley Race is interviewed by Tony Schiavone just behind the curtain. The camera follows Vader as he enters the arena. He makes his way onto the entrance ramp, working the crowd. He turns around to find Harley Race not behind him where expected. Vader rushes back through the curtain as we follow him to see Harley Race on his knees getting a fork jabbed into his forehead by none other than Abdullah The Butcher!!! Before Vader can get to Abdullah, Cactus cuts him off with a 2x4 wrapped in barbedwire shot to the back. Cactus continues to nail Vader with the weapon, and Abdullah joins in after seemingly having enough of Harley's forehead. The announcers remark that this one isn't likely to make it to the ring, and that referee Nick Patrick has ruled the match a no contest.
We segue into a video highlighting Chris Jericho and Booker T's time in WCW, including Booker's historic moment as the last World and United States champion to appear on Monday Nitro.
Chris Jericho (w/ Ralphus) vs. Booker T. (w/ Stevie Ray)
Harlem Heat enters the arena in vintage fashion; Jericho and Ralphus as well. Booker defeats Jericho at the twenty-minute mark. Booker's celebratory "spinaroonie" is interrupted by Ralphus, who comes in the ring and requests a microphone. He removes his "Jericho Personal Security" shirt, revealing the rest of his blubbery torso. Ralphus berates Jericho, saying he never did like him, is tired of his crap, and that Jericho is nothing but a loser. He then mounts a weak attack on Jericho, with Booker and Stevie joining in for the beatdown. Jericho escapes to the back as Booker and Ralphus hit simultaneous spinaroonies in celebration.
We are shown highlights of the Bikini Contest from before tonight's broadcast between Stacy Keibler and Torrie Wilson. The special judges for the contest were The Shockmaster, Norman Smiley, and The Great Muta. Torrie Wilson was declared the winner. The Shockmaster trips and falls while getting into the ring after the contest, while Norman Smiley gives Torrie some of the "Big Wiggle". Muta sprays the green mist in Smiley's eyes as he's dancing with Torrie, leaving the ring with the winner of the contest on his arm.
Next up is a ten-man lucha libre rules tag match featuring some of the stars of WCW's Cruiserweight division. A highlight package of Cruiserweight title matches is shown as the two teams enter the ring.
*10-Man Lucha Libre Rules Tag Match* Chavo Guerrero Jr., El Dandy, La Parka, Juventud Guerrera & Psycosis (w/ Konnan) vs. Billy Kidman, Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Jimmy Yang & Ultimo Dragon
This is an insanely fast-paced spotfest, with bodies flying everywhere. Chavo gets the pin on Dragon after 13 minutes of insanity. Chavo and his teammates pay tribute to Eddy Guerrero as they make their way to the back.
Our next contest is a last man standing match between Terry Funk and The Big Show, competing tonight as The Giant. A highlight package is shown of each wrestler's WCW career as they make their entraces.
*No Disqualification Last Man Standing Match* Terry Funk vs. The Giant
The Giant pounds away at Funk for 20 minutes mercilessly, until it seems Funk simply cannot go anymore. As Funk is down, Cactus Jack makes his way into the ring to interrupt the count with steel chair in tow, and wraps it around the head of the Giant, knocking him out cold. Cactus picks up Terry Funk's seemingly lifeless body and props him up against the corner on the top strand of ropes, holding him up while he attempts to revive him. The bewildered referee starts the count on the Giant, and as he counts to ten, Funk is beginning to show some signs of life. Terry Funk is your winner in a wild, drama-filled brawl. Cactus helps his friend to the back.
We are shown a video featuring DeGeneration X and the New World Order. The video focuses on each of the two factions, how they were each used as pawns for shots being fired off between Vince McMahon and Eric Bischoff in the Monday Night War, and their history with each other before DX or the nWo while in WWE, including the infamous "Kliq farewell" at Madison Square Garden.
*DX Versus nWo* Kevin Nash (w/ Scott Hall & Syxx) vs. Shawn Michaels (w/ Triple H)
DX hits the ring first to a chorus of boos. The camera shows the many fans wearing nWo shirts tonight voicing their disapproval. The nWo makes their entrance to the loudest pop of the night so far. HBK and Nash put on an entertaining match, albeit a bit slow-paced. Jim Ross states that this match "reminds him of their classic 'Good Friends, Better Enemies' match", and that "it's a good thing Mad Dog Vachon couldn't make it." Michaels gets the win after hitting Sweet Chin Music on Nash. There is a tense moment as the two friends square off after the match, with the two eventually shaking hands, HHH and Hall entering the ring, and the Kliq celebrating their way to the back.
It is time for our main event of the evening as we cut to a video package chronicling the history between Flair and Sting, as well as the Four Horsemen/Sting & Luger.
"Mean" Gene Okerlund is backstage, and introduces tonight's un-annouced Special Guest Referee- "HOLLYWOOD" HULK HOGAN! Okerlund asks Hogan if he's going to play favorites in this one, or if he'll call it down the middle. Hogan says he's had his battles with both of these guys in the past, but tonight, he's calling this one fair and square.
*The Grand Finale* "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (w/ Arn Anderson) vs. Sting (w/ Lex Luger)
Tony Schiavone is shown backstage and introduces Ric Flair. Arn Anderson is at his side. Flair starts cutting a promo like only he can, first stating that this WILL be his final match, PERIOD. He then starts talking about the rich history of the Flair/Sting rivalry. Through the interview, one by one, Tully Blanchard, J.J. Dillon, Barry Windham and Dean Malenko file into the shot as Flair is still talking, unaware they are behind him. As he finishes the last words of his interview, he looks over his shoulder, looks back toward the camera, and the group holds up the four fingers, symbolic of the Four Horsemen.
*The Grand Finale* "Nature Boy" Ric Flair (w/ Arn Anderson) vs. Sting (w/ Lex Luger)
Sting makes his entrance with his longtime friend Lex Luger. He has cut and dyed his hair back to blonde, and is in classic Sting rare form.
Ric Flair makes his entrance with his "enforcer" Arn Anderson.
The two wrestle a classic Flair/Sting match, hitting all their famous spots and signature moves, including Flair nearly giving up to the Scorpion Deathlock. 25 minutes in, after repeated Arn Anderson interference in the match, Sting accidentally runs into referee Hulk Hogan, smacking heads with one another and knocking Hogan out. The whole thing turns into a free-for-all as Lex Luger attacks Arn. "Double-A" and "The Total Package" brawl back and forth down the aisle, up the entrance ramp, and into the back as Flair and Sting continue the punishment on one another. The Stinger is looking a little worse than Flair after colliding with Hogan. Flair takes advantage of the dazed Stinger and seizes his opprotunity. Hogan comes to in time to see Stinger giving up as Flair barely edges this one out by way of the Figure-4 leglock at 31:52. Flair releases the hold and gets up, looking at the crowd with tears in his eyes as Hulk Hogan raises his hand in victory. "Thank you Ric" is heard echoing throughout the Georgia Dome as Flair's music plays. Sting slowly makes his way to his feet as Flair and Hogan help him up. The three raise their arms as the chants change to "WCW" and fireworks rock the Dome. Jim Ross remarks, "Ladies and gentlemen, this is WCW One Night Stand. A proper sendoff for all the great legends in WCW history, what an amazing night in the history sports entertainment. For Mike Tenay and Larry Zbyszko, this has been Jim Ross, good night everybody!"

Also add Dustin Rhodes to Steamboats corner to even up the odds

Very fun topic! I decided to go a route similar to fruitbooty and book, instead of a "dream card," something that would be physically possible. Egos and company loyalties being what they are, I don't know that all of this could actually happen.
The Announce team would be Tony Schiavone and Mike Tenay, then mix in a different guy at the number 3 slot
The #3 guys can include Dusty Rhodes (hardcore match, so he can say “clubberin') Larry Zbysko (in the gauntlet match so he can gloat over the Outsiders' loss) Bobby Heenan (if he can.. If he can't talk, put him in the opener so the first shot has him on camera) Arn Anderson (for the Flair/Sting/Steamboat/Luger segment) Mean Gene (during the Disco/Regal match so he can talk up the main event) Jim Ross (in Austin's match with Jarrett) Randy Savage (Main Event) Jesse Ventura
Six Man tag team tornado match La Parka Juvi Guerrera Rey Misterio Psicosis Shane Helms Shannon Moore Who cares what the teams are or who wins. These guys can tear down the house for 10 minutes or so.
N.W.O. Music hits, and Hogan, Nash, Hall, Bischoff, and whoever else wants to show up hits the ring, decimates the cruiserweights. Bischoff announces that, for the main event, they'll take on any 5 WCW guys in a wargames match. Hall and Nash announce they'll take on every team in WCW history in a tag team gauntlet match.
Tag Team Gauntlet Outsiders, Team Canada, Harlem Heat, Steiner Brothers, Rock n Roll Express, Midnight Express, Nasty Boys etc. The Outsiders pin team Canada in short order. While they're celebrating, Ricky Morton sneaks up on Hall from behind and rolls him up for the pin. Despite their shock, they recover and beat the tar out of the Rock n Roll's, giving the next team, the Midnight Express an easy pinfall. Harlem Heat comes to the ring next and pins the Midnights, then has a little more trouble with the Nasty Boys. Finally, we get a decent tag match between the Steiners and Harlem heat. The Steiners win, then Scott beats up his brother to rejoin the NWO.
Hardcore Match Meng vs. Norman Smiley vs. Fit Finlay This match Exists so Schiavone and Tenay can talk about the main event
Lex Luger comes to the ring and announces he isn't in shape to wrestle, but his good friend Sting invited him to come to WCW One Night Stand. So he's here to introduce “The Stinger.” Sting, in neon, 1990 warpaint hits the ring. He announces his opponent – Ric Flair. 2001 plays, and Ric comes out in a trademark Armani suit. He comes to the ring to tell Sting that the two of them don't have anything left to prove, that he's really retired, but . . . he did line up an opponent for Sting; A former world champ, a man Sting has never faced, a Hall of Famer, a man who to Ric to the limit many times, etc. -Enter . . . Ricky “the Dragon” Steamboat.
Sting w/ Lex Luger vs. Ricky Steamboat w/Ric Flair After 6-8 minutes of clean, back and forth action, both men spill to the outside, right next to Flair. He lays a kick onto Sting, bringing Lex to that side of the ring. Flair backs off, Sting stalks him, and Luger waffles Sting with his “loaded” forearm. Flair lays the boots to Steamboat, and the ring fills with Tully Blanchard, Steve McMichael, and any other former Horseman physically capable of a run in. This would be a decent spot for a cameo from Roddy Piper, trying to make a save, but he gets beat down too. This can lead up to a classic Flair promo
Steve Austin vs. Jeff Jarrett Would either guy agree to this? I don't know, but this is my card. Austin wins via interference from Paul E. Dangerously, who eats a stunner for his trouble.
Disco Inferno vs. Steve Regal Popcorn Match. Schiavone, Tenay, and Mean Gene totally ignore this match and talk about the main event
Wargames n.W.o. vs. WCW I know these aren't most of the N.W.O. Big names, but I tried to include a few guys who might actually be able to move.
Hollywood Hogan Konnan Syxx Buff Bagwell The Giant vs. DDP Goldberg Cactus Jack Vader Chris Jericho
Just bring out the whole N.W.O. To ringside at the start of the match to hide the fact that the guys in the actual match are kind of a weak lineup. At the end, the N.W.O. Can break into the cage, so the Horsemen come to even up the odds. Eventually, the rings clear, leaving Flair on one side of the cage, Hogan on the other. As they're walking towards one another, “the Crow” Sting drops from the rafters between them. He hits Flair first, Hogan hits him from behind, and chaos ensues as we fade to black.

Verbal ConfrontationEric Bischoff and Vince McMahon and Paul Heyman Bischoff: WCW wasn't just about questionable booking and cutthroat office politics! It was a lifestyle....... It'd probably end in one huge clusterf***. But, dammit, it'd be one hell of an entertaining clusterf***!

When WCW was really truly relevant it was about the NWO, Sting, and Goldberg. If any one person could be described as WCW it would be the one guy who was there from the moment the company was formed until the day Vince signed the contract. Sting.

It would be impossible, the only reason it worked for ECW was because ECW had a fanbase that loved them and respected what they did, WCW didn't have that, they also didn't have the long lasting feuds ECW except in a few occasions. Saying that, I would buy the PPV if it had Flair Vs. Steamboat what a ridiculous statement, you do know that wcw got ratings and buyrates that dwarfed all indy feds including ecw right? im pretty sure the people tuning in enjoyed it and respected it, the ecw dvd and ons were successful because 100% of the old ecw fanbase spent their money and wwe did an amazing job of hyping it up so that their own fans would also buy it, you're right that there were less diehards, but if even 1/5th of wcw's fanbase were to be willing to spend the money and wwe put half of the hype behind it that they did for ecw, it would easily do better than anything ecw related

Just because far more people watched WCW, and even would classify themselves as fans, I don't think its ridiculous at all to say that an ECW reunion show is more profitable than a WCW one.
