Now she just needs to "break kayfabe" and "shoot" on how stupid the gimmick is.

I don't mind her wrestling in a suit... she's sort of like the female version of I.R.S. But at least put some wrestling boots on... the taped bare feet just look awkward.

Congrats to Daffney. She is a great and talented worker, all ways around.

I am glad they signed her, but that gimmick is awful. Is it supposed to be comedy? Usually parody is supposed to be funny. However, they don't try to use the gimmick for humor to mock Sarah Palin. They simply have her being a straight-up babyface. I might be able to excuse it if it were a short term character that basically tried to ride the coattails of Tina Fey in parodying Palin. However, the 2008 election is long over and the Governor character is a random babyface.
I don't come and bash TNA much, but they are doing a terrible job with Daffney. This character smacks of Vince Russo (though I wouldn't put it past the others on Creative) and they don't even use it for parody but as a straight-babyface character.

The Governor is like something out of a Seltzer/Freidberg picture. it's like "look it's Sarah Palin... get it?"

The reason she still has the outfit and gimmick on, and the reason she said when Lauren asked her on TV the same question of "Why are you still dressed and acting like the Governer" most people here ask was because she wanted to still be under the skin of the BP, to remind them how stupid and conceited they were for confusing The Governer for the real Palin, even after Kip James and Lauren themselves kept trying to tell them it wasn't her, and to remind them of the embarrassment they suffered at the end with the muck and all that.

I hope they still ditch this Governor crap. TBP cut her hair and laid waste to her. Have her return as the Daffney we love. Love how TNA take so long to catch onto something (Palin, copying Tina Fey..) months after they become irrelevant. The type of thing which becomes archived and likely featured in an E! clip show or something.

Now she just needs to "break kayfabe" and "shoot" on how stupid the gimmick is. Tomko can tell you how I feel about worked shoots. In a word, NO. However, I hope Daffney, my favorite woman in wrestling, does drop the gimmick eventually. She deserves better. I hope she succeeds in TNA, and I'm glad she was signed.
