I never got the hate for Beefcake. I always found him entertaining in the WWF. Good charisma decent mic skills and decent in the ring. I think people forget how damn over he was as the Barber.

Dream Team vs. British Bulldogs, WM 2 If you ever wanted to see Brutus Beefcake in a 4 star match, there ya go. This is the match that sealed the deal as far as my fandom goes. I watched for a few years before this and after. Well I was hooked for life. Pisses my wife off.

He had a good match against Greg Valentine at the SNME before Wrestlemania IV.

Absolutly he was major over and a huge fan faverioute back in the 80's and early 90's WWF. Fans seem to forget this now.

I usually try to avoid saying this, but I really feel like the Beefcake hate is due in large part to revisionist history

Mostly from smarks and fans who like to use WWE standpoint or just biased against certian workers.

Beefcake was great and was mad over. Beefcake wasn't exactly a great wrestler technically but he was entertaining. He had a good gimmick and a good gimmick really makes a limited wrestler.

Definitely the Dream Team v Bulldogs at WM2, but as a singles star my personal favourite was his match with the Honky Tonk Man at WM4. No idea why - just always liked that match and Jimmy Hart getting a hair cut at the end.

I usually try to avoid saying this, but I really feel like the Beefcake hate is due in large part to revisionist history I'd have to agree. I mean you can find a bunch of guys in late 80's/early 90's who worked a similar slow pseudo power style and they don't take nearly the hate that Beefcake takes. Plus as a face he was over and his spots worked. If Brutus giving the clip clip symbol with his fingers work the crowd then who's to say it's not as valiable as some insane suplex spot?

^Yup too much hate just because Ric Flair wrote some bad stuff about him in his book. Oh and how WWE shows and spotlights only his smelly gimicks in WCW(there were a few). Look all told he isn't a legend on par with Flair, Hogan or Hart but as the Barber he entertained me many times. I will never ever forget what Outlaw Ron Bass did to Bruti's forehead with his spurs. I was 9 years old and it just sickened me. He got so much sympathy for that man he was over HUGE for a while

As Brutus the Barber Beefcake, he was insanely over. As The Butcher/Zodiac/Brother Bruti/Clipmaster?/Disciple, not so much.
