First game of the season tonight. Sioux Falls Storm @ the Kent Predators. I'll be headed up a bowling alley in town to watch, as they'll be broadcasting it.

And the Storm pick up their first win of the season, winning 105-71 over the Kent Predators. A new record for most points scored in arena or indoor football.

The Storm continue to roll, giving up 19 points in the first quarter, then shutting out the Wenatchee Valley Venom, routing them 80-19.
The one thing I don't like is their new helmets. A white helmet, short blue stripe in the front, and the lightning logo in the back. Who thought THAT was a good idea?

Liking Oklahoma City's new arena football team, the Bricktown Brawlers. Their uniforms look good, just one problem....the f***ing logo. If you thought the Thunder's logo was generic, the Brawlers' is worse.

Just pray that it's quick and somewhat painless.

Wow, that game today was an eye opener. The Omaha Beef brought their all and it was a nail biter all the way through. Thankfully, the Sioux Falls Storm pulled off another one, 48-38. Now a week off to get our ducks in a row before the LaCrosse Spartans come to town.

And the Sioux Falls Storm return to domination, destroying the LaCrosse Spartans 77-10. Up next, a trip down south to Oklahoma City to face the Bricktown Brawlers. You better say your prayers, Koda. There's a Storm a brewin'!

Here are the Standings for the AFL after Week 6
American Conference
East Cleveland Gladiators 3-1 Pittsburgh Power 2-3 Milwaukee Mustangs 1-4 Philadelphia Soul 1-4
South Jacksonville Sharks 4-1 Orlando Predators 4-1 Georgia Force 3-2 Tampa Bay Storm 2-3 New Orleans VooDoo 1-4
National Conference
Central Chicago Rush 4-1 Dallas Vigilantes 3-2 Iowa Barnstormers 2-3 Tulsa Talons 1-4 Kansas City Command 1-4
West Arizona Rattlers 5-0 San Jose Sabercats 4-2 Utah Blaze 3-2 Spokane Shock 1-4
Now, here are the standings for the IFL after Week 9:
United Conference
Atlantic Reading Express 4-3 Lehigh Valley Steelhawks 1-5 Richmond Revolution 1-6
Great Lakes Bloomington Extreme 6-1 Green Bay Blizzard 5-1 Chicago Slaughter 5-2 LaCrosse Spartans 3-4
Great Plains Sioux Falls Storm 7-0 Nebraska Danger 3-3 Omaha Beef 3-3 Wichita Wild 1-5
Intense Conference
Lonestar West Texas Roughnecks 5-2 Allen Wranglers 4-3 Bricktown Brawlers 2-5 Amarillo Venom 0-7
Mountain West Colorado Ice 7-0 Wyoming Cavalry 4-2 Arizona Adrenaline 0-7
Pacific Tri Cities Fever 5-1 Fairbanks Grizzlies 4-3 Kent Predators 2-5 Wenatchee Valley Venom 2-5
Now for my random thoughts:
- How the f*** are the Colorado Ice 7-0?! They've never won more than 6 games a year in their entire existence!!
- Wow. ArenaBowl Champs one year, bottom of the league next year for the Spokane Shock. At least they're still playing, unlike the IFL defending champs.
- Something that would be cool: Have the two league champions from the IFL and the AFL play in a National Indoor Bowl to determine who's the best. I feel these two leagues are the top leagues, with maybe the IFL being a little better than the AFL.
- Funny Note. Two Arizona teams in completely different directions. The Arizona Rattlers are 5-0. The Arizona Adrenaline are 0-7.
- Another funny note: Jacksonville's NFL sucks. Their AFL team, however, is excellent, and could be an elite franchise in their second year of existence.
- The Richmond Revolution are another team to drop. 13-1 a year ago, lost most of their talent, and are now 1-6.

And with Colorado's loss to Tri Cities, the Sioux Falls Storm is the only undefeated team left in the IFL.
KNEEL BEFORE ZOD, I mean, THE STORM!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, the football team that would make Cumberland College look like the Green Bay Packers: You can't fault them, as they are an expansion team of new players, plus they have to be on the road the entire season. However, when the most points you ever scored is 13 in arena football, and your one victory is out of forfeit, you have to be considered horrible. Still, I hope they are given a home venue in Indy next season, because they do need a local fanbase to help... and I miss the Firebirds.
