What a name. Were they watching WrestleMania IV down there in San Diego when they came up with that? You know what, I gotta do it: Top 10 potential football team names inspired by wrestling tag teams: 10. The Bloomington Edgeheads 9. The Los Angeles Los Guerreros 8. The London Kendrick 7. The Bismarck Henry & D'Lo Brown 6. The Miami HurriKanes 5. Los Angeles de California 4. The Patriots (although this team doesn't play their games anywhere in New England, they play in The WCW Special Forces) 3. The Boston ReDRagon Sox 2. The Motor City Motor City Machine Guns 1. The Montreal Canadien Ninjas (Honorable Mention: The Teddy Long Beach Playas, Holla!)

I'm still surprised the Arena Football League hasn't made any official moves in expansion.

I don't see the AFL expanding for a while now. That whole league is basically on life support as it is.

Not sure how smart it is for Atlantic City, but I enjoy watching trainwrecks. Columbus would be good if they brought back the Destroyers. Also the NAL announced they're expanding into New York, with the NY Streets.

You better be talking about the auditorium because there's no way they're affording those prices.

The NY Streets Twitter claims they will be having their home games at MSG. Like, seriously?! You better be talking about the auditorium because there's no way they're affording those prices. I'll be surprised if they last the season. To be fair, the majority of their games will be in the Westchester County Center, where the Westchester Knicks and New York Liberty play, which is the smart move because that venue is inexpensive and out in the suburbs, but saying you'll be playing at Madison Square Garden, even for just one game, is begging for mockery. The irony is that the teams they have in the NAL right now, I feel, are the healthiest choices for that league. Maybe not Massachusetts, but everything else is working out for them, so here's hoping this team doesn't screw everything up for the league.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but wouldn't it be healthier for the various arena leagues to run regional, then do some sort of championship?

Maybe this is a dumb question, but wouldn't it be healthier for the various arena leagues to run regional, then do some sort of championship? That's been my thought process for a while now. Instead of having one large national league (because those days are long gone), have a bunch of regional leagues, then have those league champions face off to determine a National Champion. But, egos and all that.

Well, the league did survive some major stupidity from the first season (Monterrey, Georgia, Dayton, and Corpus Christi), so I would think it wouldn't hurt them too bad if NY goes tits up. I was more concerned over the offseason for Lehigh Valley. It looked like the Steelhawks were gonna be gone there for a while.

Now I see the Orlando Predators FB page has a picture stating "WE'RE BACK." From the sound of it, they could be heading to the NAL.

Sounds like they're going through the Vetting Process with that league. It would be the wiser choice for league, as the AFL is entirely in the northeast, and that's what killed the Tampa Bay Storm as well.
