Just for the fun of it, I searched Wikipedia to find a list of wrestling related terms. I know we're guilty of using so many of them on these boards, and I expected to find a list of a few more. But when I found the list on Wikipedia, I was WTF??? Are these all used? How many are you all aware of? How many have you actually used? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professional_wrestling_terms*Edit: And, yes, I'm well aware that anyone can add crap to wikipedia.

Eh, I usually call "Heels", "bad guys", and "Faces", "good guys". And instead of "Botch", just "He messed up..." Espicially in real life. Heels and Faces, and botch, AND ALOT of the terms sound stupid...

I looked over much of it. I never heard "sock" as in a masked wrestler. I have heard pretty much the rest of them though.

I dunno about most of these, but I'm going to start using "Brocking" all the damn time. Let's try it out:
The Naturals have a tendency to Brock their tandem finisher.

Here's the proper usage of some of these terms:
Last week Johnny Nitro wrestled a Batman Match.
The DX/Rated RKO match wound up going Bonzo Gonzo
Ashley is a very green Bozark.
Ric Flair likes to Geek way too often.
John Cena's specialty match is the Popcorn Match.
and lastly
Rene Dupree always wrestles Stiff.....

I wonder why "Conway Pop" didn't make the list. It's only used on here. I've added it a couple times but the mods always delete it.

Ther're all real. It's just that many people have a hard time interpreting what the term really means. Example: A "popcorn" match would take place right before the main event of Wrestlemania. Meaning, a "pissbreak" match or a chance to get popcorn, and this is the type of definition that most fans take too literally. What people don't understand is that the wrestlers are using the terms, but they'll also using slang to define them. "A chance to get popcorn" is slang. What it really is, is that having important match after important match back to back is't good for business, because the human brain dosen't work like this, the brain has 5 layers. and they want anything they present you to be imbedded into your mind, and you'll hold it in high reguard. Any big live entertainment company like WWE knows this. This is why when they have these big matches back to back, they say the fans are "worn out". They don't mean literally worn out from shouting and screaming, lord knows PPV's aren't just for the live crowd, what they mean is that they didn't have time for their minds to fully process all the action before the next match, so you'll be more alert, so they usually have these small little matches in between the bigger ones, and for slang they call it "popcorn" or "pissbreak" matches.
Most Wrestlemanias have these right before the last match, check them out. Undertaker vs Jimmy Snucka at Wrestlemania 7 was indeed a "popcorn" match, but it dosen't mean you can't make it good anyway.
Sorry to go into nerd mode.

I use most of them in forums.. But not around my friends. They won't understand a thing. lmao. But in general, when I speak of doing a blade job, I use blading or juicing. Not bleeding.

You're right man, this is why Russo booked shows are hard to comprehend. They're one or two hour car crashes that have 50 things happening right after another. There's never any fluff and the fans can never comprehend what they're seeing.

When I praise somebody, I always say I'm putting them over. Plus there are other terms that I use on a daily basis.

I don't understand why "X-Pac Heat" is allowed on there but "Conway Pop" isn't!
Anyway, I avoid using smarky terms around my friends. I still say "good guy" and "bad guy". Ric Flair would be proud.
